I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a change of season and those changing leaves and pumpkin spice lattes!
It’s always so refreshing to experience the change of season. Seasons can get old a grow stale. But just in time, God changes the tide and shifts our surroundings for the sake to refreshment, and in a reflection of His creation.
Just like the change in weather, God changes the atmosphere of our lives. He shows us when it’s time to plant, when it’s time to rest, time to sow and time to enjoy
This is the time of year when we all think of Ecclesiastes 3. Starting in verse 1 it reads:
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance…”
So I ask you: what is your season right now?
Are you growing weary of tilling the soil of your life and are in need of some sunlight?
Are you getting lethargic and realizing it’s time to get out of your place of rest and get up and start plating some seeds?
Or possibly, is it time to enjoy the rewards of your work?
I encourage you to spend some time with the Lord and ask Him. Make sure you are working under His grace, and not through your own idea of what you “should” be doing.
Be in HIS timing.
