Men, whether you’re leading a business, a ministry, an organization, or even your family—leadership requires submission. Leadership requires humility. Leadership requires character.
In fact, leadership without character will soon corrode. Remember Saul? For 1 Samuel 15:26 KJV declares, “And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.”
Leadership requires submission. Are you submitted to the Voice of God? Are you submitted to His Word? Is your heart pliable to the Word of God? Are you applying His Wisdom to every area of your life? Submitted kings will heed to the Voice of God.

Submission is critical to your success in every area of your life. Submission is critical to your success as a father. Submission is critical to your success as a husband, a brother, a businessman and as a leader.
A man who submits his heart to God will soon flourish. Psalm 1:1 KJV declares, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Blessed is the man whose heart is submitted to God.
The Amplified Version puts it this way, “BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.” Psalm 1:1 AMPC.
If you’re looking for peace—stay submitted to God. If you’re looking for fulfillment—tie yourself to His Word. If you’re looking for success—seek God. Seek God and you’ll find peace. Seek God and you’ll find joy. Seek God and you’ll find rest. Seek God and He’ll make you whole.
For Matthew 6:33 KJV declares, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Seek God and let Him “add unto you”. Seek Christ and let Him enlarge your capacity to love. Seek Christ and let Him enlarge your capacity to lead. Seek Christ and let Him expand your capacity to steward those under your authority.
Seek Christ and you will find success. The Amplified Version expounds upon Matthew 6:33 AMPC in the following manner, “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”
No matter the wind that blows your way. No matter the storm. No matter the chaos that tries to rock your ship—seek His Peace. Seek His Way. Seek His Voice and He will lead your path. For Psalm 23:3 KJV declares, “He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Let Christ restore your soul. Let His Word refresh your soil. Let God lead and soften the ground of your heart. Leadership requires submission. “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.” Ezekiel 36:26 NLT
Prayer:
Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You for my brother reading this message. Father, I thank You for giving him a heart of flesh. Father, I thank You for giving him a heart that’s soft, tender, and responsive to Your Word.
Father, You are our God and we submit to Your Holy Name. For You are Righteous and You are our King. For there is none like You in all of the Earth. For Heaven bows to You and all of creation submits to Your Name.
For at the Name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue must confess that You are Lord. Father, I declare that You are Lord over my heart. Father, I confess that You are Lord over my family.
Father, lead me and I will follow You. Lord, guide my heart and lead my character. Father, guide my footsteps and I will never go astray. For You are my Lord and I will forever follow You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
