Before their much-anticipated performance, Jennifer asked Tasha how she started singing Gospel music. To this, Tasha answered and shared their family history.
“I came from a family of singers,” the “Break Every Chain” singer revealed. “We were made to sing.”

“The whole family go from different churches singing and making up songs,” she added.
Moreover, Tasha shared that she was not the “chosen vocalist” in the family. “I have cousins y’all who can just.. whoo-hoo,” she said.
Then, her family started a community choir.
The Gospel singer claimed to be a late bloomer because when she turned fifteen, it was the first time she sang in front of an audience.
She got to sing because the main vocalist had a minor car accident. With no choice, she sang the whole song of Kirk Franklin’s “Now Behold The Lamb” with her eyes closed. After opening her eyes, she saw multiple people crying and worshipping God.
“My parents were looking at each other like, uh-oh, this is something special,” Tasha recalled. And the rest was history.
Today, Tasha has been writing songs, partnering with God to lead people into the Precious Lamb.
Before they ended their interview, Tasha and Jennifer gave a special song number to the viewers. Jennifer said, “With you being you and me being me.. can we show them the roots we come from and give them a little bit..” And so, Tasha agreed.
The two hit singers sang the all-time favorite hymn, “Amazing Grace.”
“We was gonna bring the church in here today if that’s all right,” Jennifer said.
So, watch their full performance below and be blessed.
