Showing the love of Jesus Christ to every segment of the Israeli society.
Dr. Jurgen Buhler, president of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEF), shares how they were able to share Christ’s love to the Jewish people and the Israeli society. The ICEF has been hosting the annual Feast of the Tabernacles for over 40 years.
“We just try to show the love of Christ to every segment of Israeli society in a way to show them a new face of Jesus,” Jurgen explained. “Because honestly, we Christians, we failed so much over the last century to show them the loving God. We are just there to show them our support and our friendship and by God’s grace, I believe we could change many hearts.”
Feast of the Tabernacles
The Feast of the Tabernacle came from the prophecy of God in Zechariah 14: 16. It was started by a Canadian couple 42 years ago and has been celebrated yearly until now. However, because of the global pandemic, this year’s event will be celebrated online just like the past year.
In 2020, the Feast of the Tabernacle has been attended by thousands of people around the world! God is moving even through online platforms! This year, Dr. Jurgen believes that this event will be different than the previous events. He believes that this will be a wake-up call for every believer to have hope because God is the God who answers.
“If you think about the times of Elijah, they had a three and a half years drought over their nation. We are now one and a half years of a global pandemic that caused severe strains and difficulties to many people. I believe it’s a wakeup call of God where He says, ‘Wake up, I’m going to do a new thing, I am the God who answers with fire.’”
