Tyler Toney Rose To Fame & Wife Felt Neglected

When the comedy group Dude Perfect suddenly rose to fame, Tyler quit his job to go full-time with his passion. At that moment, big opportunities came as big brands began working with the group. Later, his wife, Bethany, also quit her job. Soon, the couple was living the dream and living the life they wanted.

Until one day, the couple began trying to have a baby. But it resulted in Bethany having several miscarriages. At that point, her pain began drowning her.

“It was just devastating to me and heartbreaking,” Bethany recalled. “Because I’m watching my husband be on top of the world doing all these really cool things. While I’m at home in pain and just heartbroken and confused and angry.”

Resentment Towards Husband

Bethany got so angry at God during that season because she felt God was ignoring her. And while battling her pain, she felt more resentment toward her husband.

“I was watching my husband go to these red carpets, meet these celebrities, do these once in a lifetime opportunity over and over again,” she said. “And I’m at home just broken.”

Tyler never prioritized his wife because of his “Dude Perfect” opportunities. Then the real shaking of their marriage started when the couple finally got pregnant. Bethany was grateful to have a baby, but she still felt resentful towards her husband.

Crumbling  Marriage

Two years later, Bethany got pregnant again with her second child. This time, her bitterness built up and slowly overtook Bethany. Then by the time she got pregnant with her third child, she felt devastated knowing she had to raise her kids all by herself again.

“All I could see was this is just another child I’m going to have to take care of by myself,” Bethany recalled.

In October 2020, during the pandemic, the couple had no choice but to confront the issue of their marriage.

“I’m tired of you putting Dude Perfect before our family,” she finally confronted Tyler. So, they took time apart for a while. That’s when Tyler realized what he had done to his family.
