Rescue teams saved a missing skier in Switzerland after a he flagged down an approaching helicopter spotlight with only one arm.
The man appeared to wave down the rescue helicopter in a video captured by paramedic Mathieu Lambert.
“Miraculously, only using the search light on the helicopter, the team was able to spot the man’s arm waving at them. They then successfully extracted him from the large pile of snow blocks. He was then hoisted 30 meters to safety.” Good News Network explains.

Rescue Team Spot Missing Skier Waving Hand From Helicopter
The unamed young skier had been touring the Liardes region of Switzerland when the avalanche hit. His family contacted authorities after they realized he had not returned to his vehicle. Because he shared his route with family members, rescue teams were able to follow the area and locate ski tracks. Afterwards, his hand was spotted flagging the helicopter down.
Teams are calling this rescue miraculous, celebrating his discovery and that he is completely unharmed by the accident.
