A mom shared about her children experiencing revival in Pasadena, California earlier this month. Jessi Green, a revivalist and director of @saturaterevival, shared a selfie of herself, her husband, and their three young children cuddled in their laps while attending a worship gathering.
“How do you be a part of revival with little kids?!” Jessi began her post caption. “I get this question ALL the time. Last night, we were all tired. Yet, we have given Jesus our YES to steward what He is doing in Pasadena with the help of all our friends and their yielded YES.”
Their three kids were peacefully sleeping as the room ministered to the Lord.
“During the gathering, two of my kids curled on my lap and fell asleep. The room shouted in praise while I covered their little ears with my forearms and lifted my voice to my worship.”
“Revival begins in the secret place, it’s a life of everyday following Jesus. Our family has chosen His presence over comfort. We have chosen to “figure it out” over having it “all figured out.” Sometimes it means inconvenience but we have ALL that we have ever prayed for happening all around us…Gratitude can carry you a long way. Also, what better way for your kids to fall asleep.”
Perhaps the most powerful and striking thought Jessi wrote was her final one: “repentance is our favorite lullaby”.
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
