The European Union’s policy toward Israel is ‘hypocritical and hostile,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday prior to leaving for Bulgaria, where he will attend a meeting of the Craiova Group.
“I’m leaving now for a summit of states where I will meet with my friends the prime ministers of Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Serbia… they are a bloc of states with whom I wish to advance my policy of changing the hostile and hypocritical attitude of the European Union,” Netanyahu said.
“It is a process that will take time, but I believe in setting goals and working methodically to achieve them… this is an important goal for the State of Israel whose standing in the world is growing.”
Netanyahu will meet Thursday evening with Bulgarian prime minister Boyko Borisov and on Friday will participate in the Craiova Group summit together with Borisov, Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić, Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and Romanian prime minister Viorica Dăncilă.
