NFL star DeForest Buckner surrendered his life to Jesus and has choosen to trust God wholeheartedly.
On Oct.20, Buckner publicly shared how he has decided to totally commit his life to Christ in an Instagram post. He shared a photo together with his wife, Ashlyn, and their child, Dominic with a baptism certificate. Also, he included a recorded video during his actual baptism with their pastor praying for him.

Surrendering Life To Jesus
The NFL star wrote in the caption, “Today I surrendered my whole self to Jesus and chose to trust Him with my life wholeheartedly. My walk with Christ is only beginning and I am grateful for the support surrounding my journey of Faith.” He referenced Titus 3:5 in the Bible as well where it says, “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”
According to Faithpot, the baptism was held at Eagle Church.

DeForest Buckner And His Faith
It was reported then that Buckner first shared his faith before Super Bowl LIV in 2019. Back then he revealed that his wife helped him strengthen his relationship with Jesus.
“One person that really helped me connect with my faith, even more, was my wife (Ashlyn),” he said. “She really helped me connect with my faith a lot more.”
Moreover, the Christian NFL player also credits God for his success and achievements.
“You’ve got to put God first, man,” he said. “Without Him, without His plan for me, I wouldn’t be here where I am today. I truly believe that. … Every day I give thanks because all my talent, all the things I’ve done in my life, all the glory goes to Him,” he said.
Today, he is one of the highest-paid defensive lineman signing a 4-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
