In a recent YouTube video, social media influencers Chelsea and Nick Hurst opened up about attending marriage counseling and growing in their young marriage. Nick and Chelsea aren’t your average young newlyweds. They are the faces behind “The Hurst Family” on YouTube and the voices of Encounter Now Podcast. Nick and Chelsea live in Atlanta, Georgia with their 7 month old Golden Retriever, Wally, who you can also follow on Instagram, @mrwallyhurst.
It’s no secret that marriage is a long term commitment, but when you’re young newlyweds, it comes with another word of questions.
Most young couples try to make their relationship look perfect on Instagram and deal with their struggles privately. Nick and Chelsea Hurst are taking a different approach and have been talking about getting help through BetterHelp counseling services. They are not ashamed to get help in order to grow and strengthen their marriage…and they are being honest about it.
BetterHelp is an app for with on demand counseling for mental health, marriage counseling and more. While the app isn’t a primarily “faith-based”, they do offer a wide range of services including Christian Counseling from real faith-based counselors.
Nick and Chelsea are bringing real life to social media by opening up about their faith, relationship and hardships. They are using their platforms to encourage and build others. There are so many other ways to live in this world. These two are choosing to engage culture and bring hope!
You can find them on all social platforms and listen to encounter now on all major streaming platforms. Chelsea also has a new book, Above All Else. In Above All Else is a “topical devotional about friendship, relationships, family, self-esteem, and living out your faith. Honest, personal, and filled with hope. This devotional just might be what young women need to hear most in their lives right now.”
