A police officer testified how he heard the voice of God that saved his life at the Nashville explosion on Christmas Day.
On Christmas morning, an unexpected blast in Nashville injured three people and destroyed 41 businesses and other buildings nearby. But what’s amazing is that God’s protection was evident when the incident happened.
Metropolitan Nashville Police Officers James Wells and Amanda Topping came for backup at a possible shooting area. But when they arrived, they suddenly heard a voice recording from an RV urging them to evacuate the place and that a bomb was inside. Thus, everyone evacuated the buildings while the officers stood by to watch the road.
God Speaks To Police Officer
Shortly after, some officers came out of the building. Then James was near the RV when God told him to turn around. He followed the voice and changed course at the last minute, and turned towards Officer Amanda. Then the bomb went off!
“This might not be politically correct, but this is my truth,” Officer James said Sunday. “I literally heard God tell me to turn around and go check on Topping, who was by herself down on Broadway.”
If he did not follow God’s voice seconds before the bomb went off, it could have cost his life.
The officers narrated how the explosion happened. They felt like it was a scene in a movie.
“I don’t know how I kept my footing, but … I couldn’t see him for a second. And I just lost it, and I just took off in a sprint towards him,” Officer Amanda said. “And, as he said, I’ve never grabbed somebody so hard in my life.”
“I’m not going to shy away from that, because that’s what saved my life,” James further added. “That’s what got me to see my kids and my wife on Christmas. And ‘good to see you’ has a completely different meaning for me now.”
The authorities are currently investigating the incident they identify as an “intentional act.” According to Faithpot, federal agents have searched the home of a suspected man “after leads showed an RV parked in the backyard matching the one used in the bombing.”
Luellen, the first officer to arrive at the scene, said, “I don’t know for what reason the gentleman or female, whoever it was that actually did this, gave the notice. I’m just grateful that we actually had time to try and help people clear out.”
Thank God for the safety of everyone at the scene!
