Life is full of contrasts. We go through mountains and we go through valleys. The seasons of life include both good and bad times. God redeems painful ugly moments by turning them into something beautiful. There is purpose in every season when we submit our times into God’s hands. Every road intertwines to create the path we’re on now.
He Makes Things Beautiful
Ecclesiastes 3:11 – He has made everything beautiful in His time
Many moments in my life have started out ugly, but became beautiful in time. One of my favorite verses in the Bible comes from the story of Joseph in Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” God knows how to take our really broken and hurting seasons and turn them for our good.
Job 9:10 – He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles
The God Of Miracles
I have seen many amazing miracles in my family’s life. Our daughter, Lily, has had countless miracles in her young life. She was diagnosed with a cyst on her bile duct when she was five years old. The surgeon informed us that the cyst could cause an increased risk of cancer along with other issues and that it needed to be removed as soon as possible.
We scheduled the surgery as quickly as we could, however, during surgery it was discovered it wasn’t a cyst at all. The doctors discovered it was actually a second gall bladder! Her doctor said this surgery ended up being a glorified gall bladder extraction. He also said that pathology was going to love this because there are only 200 reported cases of persons with two gall bladders in the world!
The outcome for Lily changed in an instant. There is now no chance of cancer and no chance of cyst recurrence. The issue and concern in regards to this is completely gone. God took what the enemy meant for harm and turned it for good.
We trust and depend on the One who is able to do anything in an instant!
God’s ways are so much greater, higher and far beyond how our natural minds think. It never once crossed my mind that it would be a second gall bladder when she went in for surgery. I didn’t even know to believe for that!
That experience taught me not to limit God. I saw firsthand His goodness, His greatness and His power.
Summon The King
When the King comes in, everything changes. When things seem impossible, when things seem dead, when things seem done…summon the King. Summon the One who’s miracle working power has absolutely no limits.
When He comes into the situation, everything changes!
