Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson mourns the death of his wife, Dede.

On April 19, Adelia Robertson, also known as “Dede,” passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia Beach at the age of 94. The private Christian college Regent University posted Dede’s obituary on their website.
“Dede Robertson was a woman of great faith, a champion of the Gospel, and a remarkable servant of Christ who has left an indelible print on all that she set her hand to during her extraordinary life,” Pat Robertson, the founder and chancellor of Regent University, said in a statement.

Dede was a member of the CBN, Inc. board and also served with Regent University and Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corporation. She had a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Administrative from Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Yale University.
“Mom was the glue that held the Robertson family together. She was always working behind the scenes. If it weren’t for Mom, there wouldn’t be a CBN,” her son, Gordon Robertson, a host of CBN’s “700 Club,” said.
Pat Robertson met his wife while studying law at Yale Law School. They soon got married in 1954. Dede was 27-years-old and Pat was 24-years-old when they got married almost 70 years ago.
“My mom was a rock. She was a rock throughout our childhood. Dad had to travel a lot, but Mom was always there for us kids… that gives great security to children,” her daughter, Ann LeBlanc, said.
Dede has been traveling around the world for CBN and her other humanitarian ministries. In 1986, she has been awarded the Christian Woman of the Year. She has lived her 94 years here on earth doing the mission of the Lord and spreading his love and mercy to everyone.
