Life with God requires trust built through patience. Even in your waiting, there is space for you to thrive exactly as you are now.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6)
Patience is the Outflow of Our Trust in the Father
It is crucial to have trust in God to build patience in your waiting season. As we wait on the Lord, we either choose a heart of gratefulness or one of complaint. In gratitude, we build ourselves in hope, joy, and faith. In complaint, we shrink ourselves in unworthiness, impatience, and victim mentalities. Put to mind the breakthrough, relationship, joy or promise you are waiting on the Lord for. As you consider it, ask yourself: “Does this bring bitterness into my heart or hope?” If it feels hopeless, begin to invite the Holy Spirit into any lie you may be believing around this promise, allowing His gentle correction.

God Hears You
God is faithful to finish what He starts in you. Waiting teaches us patience, but also gives the opportunity to know and trust God deeper. Your waiting season may feel like it will never end, but God is always moving on your behalf. Trust that His timing in your life prospers, not harms, you. Take captive thoughts that you are forgotten, unimportant, or too far gone for God to bring to pass His promises. Bring all your worries to God, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7) and be amazed at the richness of your relationship with Holy Spirit in this time.
Beloved, if you are contending with God in this season, I pray that you grow in the depth of His knowledge and love for you.
