The hearts of many Africans are filled with joy each time they remember that Jesus Christ spent the first two years of His life in Africa. Perhaps this explains why most Africans have fully embraced Christianity. Africa is one of the continents where Christianity is dominating its people. Many generally perceive it as a blessed land for the growth of Christianity. This also explains why Africa has produced great men of God featuring among the best pastors in the world. Even in the list of top pastors in America, you’ll still find those of African origin like Bishop T.D. Jakes who roots back to Nigeria. It is in this very light that we present the most popular African pastors who have withstood persecutions and greatly contributed to the advancement of Christianity in Africa.

Apostle Babalola was one of the African Christian fathers who endured suffering for the sake of Christ and His teachings. Although this persecution brought him a jail sentence and other forms of suffering, it did not discourage him from proceeding with the mission God gave him. He was the kind of Prophet that called down fire from Heaven and it descended before everyone’s eyes. He was the founder of the Christian Apostolic Church (CAC) with headquarters in Nigeria. Apostle Babaloa was the first to initiate and lead the major Christian Revivals that took place in Nigeria between the years 1930-1940.

His first revival started with the resurrection of a child during a church meeting among the elders. Within a period of three weeks after receiving the Epikaizo Anointing and Power of God, Apostle Babalola had cured about 100 lepers, 50 lame persons, and 60 blind people. His revival was one that left Catholic, Baptist, Anglican, and Wesley churches and hospitals empty. Discover more by reading Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola’s biography.
