In a world where the pain is inevitable, we often ask God, “why is this happening to me?” But have you ever tried to see things from a different perspective? Like asking Him what is He is trying to teach you at this moment?
It’s easy to blame people and even God when things don’t go our way. Human as we are, we tend to want to control things to get the results we want to see in our life. However, most often, life doesn’t go our way, and every day, unexpected things can take us by surprise.
We get hurt when our dreams or aspirations in life don’t happen. We get disappointed when our desires seem so out of our reach. But despite all these things, know that God has a purpose.
Trust Your Father
Instead of complaining, ask your Father who loves you and cares for you. There may be times that we don’t understand our circumstances, but our Father, who is ahead of us, is the One writing our story for our good.
Maybe right now, God is teaching you humility. Perhaps patience, or maybe love. We don’t exactly know. But one thing is for sure; it’s for the best.
So if there are things in your life that you don’t understand, don’t hesitate to ask God. Ask Him, “God, what are You trying to teach me?”
It should be our first response. And in such a way, our fear and humility before the Presence of God will grow. Not only that, we will be able to practice our faith.
Also, it is one way of acknowledging Jesus as our Lord and Savior every day. That beyond what we could ever perceive, God’s ways are higher and greater.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” –Proverbs 3:5-6
