Love languages tell us a lot about how to show love to someone we dearly treasure in our life. But nothing can replace prayer in showing somebody that your love for them is pure and genuine.
People are messy, and sometimes when our loved ones follow a path that is way out of God’s will, it’s hard to pull them back. They tend to make choices that are way out of our control and far different from the right path. And sometimes, when you lovingly confront them, they misunderstand, and your relationship with them gets challenged. And you don’t know what to do anymore because they won’t listen.
To Pray Is To Love
The truth is, it is never our job to change people. We can never change them, but God can. That’s why the best response to show them our love even when we disagree with them is to pray for them.
In Philippians 4:6-7, it was written, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
According to the Word, prayer should be our response in every situation, including praying for the people we care about. Even if they don’t know, fight for them in prayer. Pray for their peace, growth, success, and happiness. This is how you truly love someone when you lift them in prayer, more than just telling them you love them. It is the purest form of love you can give to somebody. It’s the best thing you can give to them because you can’t always be there for them, but God will.
Therefore, relentless woman, remember to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
