For many, waiting is not easy. It’s a word that most are not excited about. In today’s society, we live in a world where “instants,” “rush,” or “YOLO” has become a norm and “to wait” is no longer popular. But to God, waiting is necessary, especially when He has promised believers and abundant life.
Whenever we want something – the latest technology, to travel, to buy a house – most often, we want it now. For that reason, many take the risk of going into debt because they cannot wait. It might feel great at first, but in the long run, it becomes a burden.
In Proverbs 10:22, it says, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.”

Wait On God
Whenever we pray for something, and God blesses it, He gives it according to His timeline. But an answered prayer that we force in our own time will only lead to trouble. That is why we should learn to honor God and His perfect timing in our lives.
The waiting may sometimes be challenging, but you’ll see why God had you wait. Perhaps He’s still preparing your heart or teaching you a very important lesson. Either way, we must learn to trust God.
Know that whatever it is that you ask of Him, your waiting season is never a wasted season. Because it’s not really about the answered prayer, but who you become in the process. It’s in the waiting that you would learn to depend on God and be closer to Him.
Psalm 27:14, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
