Whether you’re wearing makeup or not, it is not what makes you beautiful, woman of God. It is your heart.
Makeup Or Heart?
Women would generally want to adorn themselves with clothes, makeup, or jewelry to express their womanhood. It’s no surprise that we would like to feel and look beautiful through these things. However, placing your confidence in these things isn’t what makes you beautiful as a person. It is your heart that truly defines who you are.
I’m not saying that outward appearance doesn’t matter because we really have to care for ourselves. But more than anything else, our concern should be our inner security and growth in God. Because I believe that if one’s heart is healthy and secured in the Lord, it will naturally radiate on the outside. Thus, you become a beautiful woman from the inside out according to what is pleasing before God.

In 1 Peter 3:3, it was made clear where a woman’s beauty should come from. It said, “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes. But from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.”
So, don’t worry about your looks or outward beauty, instead fix your eyes on Jesus. Let Him cleanse and mold the inner disposition of your heart. And watch how that internal security in God within you radiates to your physical appearance.
Isn’t it more pleasing to hear that the beauty they see in you is from God? The line where people say, “I see Jesus in her.” That is the beauty that will last and will never fade.
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” –Proverbs 31:30
