Sarah Bowling shared why she created an organization that helps save the lives of abandoned newborn babies and young toddlers.
The co-lead pastor of Encounter Church Denver inspires people to get involved in this mission. She founded Saving Moses, a global humanitarian organization that saves babies and toddlers who were born in tough environments.
Her passion for these helpless babies was born when she was on a mission trip in Ethiopia. There she found two newborn babies abandoned in a field. Sarah took the babies to an orphanage, however, because of the lack of resources, they only accept older children. They denied the two young children.
“This is the passion, the heart of our Father and loving, kind, compassionate for the least, the least of the least, like the most vulnerable.”
The name of the organization came from the biblical story of Moses. He was abandoned in the Nile River when he was still an infant. The pharaoh’s daughter, a total stranger, rescued him and sooner, this abandoned infant saved an entire nation from destruction.
“This is a little baby, this is God’s gift to us, we have no idea who that baby God’s designed and planned and blueprint in that little baby. We don’t know. But at the core of us, not only do we do that for the potential that God has, but just out of the sheer heart of the Father. Love, genuine love,” Sarah explained.
That is the love of the father for everyone, not only the little babies but also to us all. And because we are loved by Him, we should also show our love to the least and the vulnerable ones. You are loved by Him because of who you are.
“My prayer for you today at this moment is that you experience to know the Father loves you. Not because of what you’ve done, or haven’t done, but just because of you, for who you are, for your core true authentic self. God loves you, the Father loves you.”
