Trafficking
Lives are being changed in Cambodia where trafficking is a major issue. There are children, even infants, being sold on a daily basis. Most of these kids are from mothers who are working as prostitutes. Because of the poverty, selling their children is the only solution they see to ease their problems.
There is this one particular town with a trafficking ring that targets infants. However, God is rescuing the lives of these innocent children. There a ministry that God is using to collect enough evidence to stop the trafficking rings. They have gathered testimonies from witnesses and victims and given them to the anti-trafficking police in Cambodia.
“’ Why are you going there? That place is on the news every night and it’s so dark. Why are you going there? Don’t go there.’ But we just knew that God had told us to go into this community.”
“This trafficking ring is coming down and these babies are going to be safe.”
Innocent lives
The ministry is also sheltering those they rescued from the trafficking by providing them jobs and support they needed. They also have daycare programs where they take care of the children that are rescued.
“As you hear these stories, please do not focus on the bigness of the problem, you will be held in fear and intimidation and the enemy will keep you from doing nothing. But know that you have a part to play… there’s something that God would have you do.”
We can also help in defeating trafficking and saving these innocent lives. Whether it’s to pray, to go, to give financially, or be a voice in our community, God is calling us to do something. God is on a mission to save the trafficking victims and He’s calling us to be a part of it.
