This is a very important lesson that all singles need to learn. Sometimes, we tend to believe that the right person for us is the one who truly deserves us, but the truth is:

The person you will attract is the one you think you deserve.

That’s why, before you enter into a new relationship, you need to see yourself as a person of beauty and dignity. A person who is valuable and priceless. Because if you will not see yourself as someone who is important, you will end up choosing the wrong person. If you think that you are worthless, you will choose someone who is also worthless. That’s why how you see yourself is very important.

Brother Bo Sanchez, a preacher from the Philippines shared a very important thing that singles need to realize. He shared that singles sometimes end-up broken hearted because they have a broken psychological mirror.

If your identity is not rooted according to how God sees you, you will see a distorted picture of yourself. You need to repair first what’s broken inside or else you will also attract a broken person. The worst thing that will happen is you will look for a person who can heal you. You will look for that someone who will fill-up the missing piece of your life.

But the truth is, your future spouse cannot heal your broken mirror alone.

They can never completely satisfy you. You need the overflowing love of God. You also need your family and a spiritual community that will help you realize what God’s love is all about.

You need to know your worth!

You are so precious in the eyes of God if you just realize how important you are in His eyes, you will not end up with a person who will break your heart. The more you see yourself as a child of God, the more you attract a person who also loves God.

Choosing the person you will marry is one of the most important decisions of your life. Choose wisely and let the love of God lead you to the right one. While waiting, be the kind person who passionately follows and loves Jesus.
