A mom may often be misinterpreted by her children because of many reasons; however, her love for her children goes far beyond what one could imagine.
Carlton Jones, 19 years old, surprised his mom on Mother’s Day. He couldn’t tell his mom upfront the words he wanted to say. So, he wrote a song for her, telling her how he felt deep down towards her.
The sweet son wrote on Instagram, “Decided to rap for my mama on Mothers Day. Love you Ma.”
A Song For His Mom
But before Carlton started his rap, his mom gave a lovely reaction as she was being recorded on cam.
“Am I being recorded? Hello, world! I’m being recorded which is not really a good thing unless I have a microphone on my hand..” she jokingly said.
As she was waiting for her son’s surprise, the mother felt nervous and made an adorable gesture.
Then her son sang:
“I don’t know where to start with you mama. Said I’m giving my heart out for you mama. Get a house, buy a car for you, mama. A lot of times I know it’s hard for you mama.”
Carlton added in the lyric how he saw his mom’s struggles as well.
“You always caring. Struggling with money, which was really daring. Always saw you crying, I was always staring. Looking at you now, because I’m really really proud..” says the lyrics.
The 19-year-old also added his apology to his mom.
“I’m sorry for the pain. I’m sorry for the games. Sorry for the troubles, I can’t even complain. Tried your best, then we’re trying to get you God put you to the test. Working all these hours, you ain’t getting no rest. Because you up all night, you praying for us, let us win this fight..”
When the song was about to end, Carlton’s mother started to tear up. He continued, “You’re my sunshine. This is our time. This is your time. So, let’s keep on pushing forward. You’re my key, you are my motor. You drive me when I am low. Told me yes when they said no. They told me to stop, you told me go chase your dream.”
He ended by saying “I love you” and “Happy Mother’s Day.”
Indeed, moms deserve all the love in the world! But nothing can beat when they hear it sincerely from their children.
