God’s Powerful Response To Woman’s Question, “Why Is Life So Hard?”

A woman and an author recently asked God why life has been so hard lately. And God responded and blew her mind.

“Why Is Life So Hard?”

Barbara Frone aims to deliver God’s message to the people through her social media platform. And in one of her videos, many have been encouraged by God’s instructions on overcoming life’s hardships.

“God wants you to be at rest on the inside,” Barbara shared. “When all things are going well in your life, and you are at rest in your soul, that really is not true rest.”

She stressed that true rest comes from a soul being at rest even though troubles surround a person. “This is the rest God wants you to have,” she continued.

“But it doesn’t come naturally. You have to pursue it by laboring for it and by laboring to stay in it. You pursue the rest by the choices you make.”

Furthermore, she illustrated it by choosing to obey God’s instructions. “When God tells you not to say something or do something, you need to obey Him. If you do, you have chosen rest.”

Obeying God’s Voice

Barbara confessed that she has been asking God a few questions most of us can relate to. “Why is life so hard? Why are there so many thoughts bombarding my mind? When will this stop?”

And listen to what the Lord told Barbara. He said, “It will stop when you start letting Me lead you. It will stop when you obey My voice.”

“The enemy is trying to get you to lead yourself by putting thoughts into your mind. I am trying to get you to be led by Me by putting thoughts in your mind. You need to discern which is My voice and follow it.”

Barbara points out that discerning and following God’s voice is part of the labor to get into the rest God wants us to have. “As you spend time with the Lord, you will begin to recognize His voice,” she said. “And you will easily be able to discern where the thoughts in your mind are coming from.”

The thoughts in our minds are not always our own. It may come from the enemy, God, and yourself. “So before you dwell any thought, discern where that thought is coming from, and decide what you are going to do with it.”

I once asked God, “Why is life so hard?” Take a listen for his answer.

Matt Brown Testifies: Asbury Revival ‘Is An Answer To Our Prayers’

Matt Brown testified that the Asbury Revival is an answer to years of prayer for a great spiritual awakening.

The Christian author took to his social media account to testify about what God has been doing at Asbury University. Revival broke out two weeks ago at the small Christian college in Wilmore, Kentucky. The small town saw over 50,000 people flock in to experience this great movement of the Lord.

“This past weekend, in this small Kentucky town with two stoplights and a population of just 6,000 people more than 50,000+ people converged to seek God. Without any famous musician, preacher, celebrity, or politician to draw them…only Jesus. This is a genuine move of God,” Matt wrote.

Asbury Revival

The revival in Asbury has not yet ended. In fact, the spirit of revival has spread to other Christian colleges and churches across the United States.

“Reports are coming in of 20+ other universities and countless churches seeing unusual outpourings of the Holy Spirit since then already.”

Answered prayer

The evangelist then testified that the Asbury Revival is an answer to the prayers of many believers.

“I along with many of you have been praying and fasting for years as part of the Roaring Twenties Fast with a sense of expectation for a great awakening to sweep across our nation. Asbury is an answer to our prayers and fasting along with other ways God is moving in significant and unusual ways.”

The Roaring Twenties Fast is a 21-day fast that called one million young people to prayer for revival in the nation. Matt ended his post with an urgent call for believers to pray and seek a personal revival.

“I want to encourage believers everywhere to humble themselves, pray, turn from any sin, and seek God’s face for personal revival, revival in your church, and spiritual awakening in your community and across our nation. Only God can meet our great needs, and His manifest presence and outpouring in revival and awakening will shift our culture as we could never begin to imagine.”

What God has been doing in Kentucky can also be done in your city and in your nation. We can also experience the tangible presence of God if we earnestly seek revival.

Zach Williams Story of Turning To God From Addiction

Christian singer Zach Williams drifted away from God until he challenged Him to turn his life around. God answered him most unexpectedly.

Before totally surrendering his life to Christ, Zach Williams struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. For 15 years, he battled the addiction to the point that his marriage almost ended.

Zach was raised in a Christian home and grew up in church. He admitted he “was raised to put my faith in Jesus.” Hence, even at a young age, he knew about Jesus. However, things turned awry in his life, and he drifted away from God. He woke up one day and realized he was a mess.

Then in 2012, the singer went on a tour in Europe when his wife warned him, “If you can’t make some changes, you know, for your family, like, we’re not gonna stick around,” Zach remembers.

He then realized, “I knew that I needed to make some serious changes for myself personally. For my family, and…for this everything.”

Turning To God

That’s when he turned to the God whom he was once so close to. The singer knew he needed God. Amidst the mess he trapped himself into, Zach challenged God. He said, “If you’re God, if you are who you say you are then, prove it.”

A couple of weeks later, while on tour, he heard the Christian song ‘Redeemed’ by Big Daddy Weave on the radio.

Zach recalled, “Well, this is not a coincidence. So, after years of running of you know,…I called my wife and told her, I’m coming home.”

He canceled his shows and went home to be with his family. Then he also attended church and fully gave his life to the Lord. 1 John 4:18 became so real to Zach that he attested, “if I’ve been perfected in God’s love, like, what am I afraid of?”

Today, free from all his addictions, Zach became a tangible expression of God’s love. He gives it away to anyone who needs Christ in their life because he believes that no one is beyond the reach of God’s unconditional love.

How Does God Answer Prayers?

In another episode of GOD TV’s “It’s All Greek to Me” with Pastor Chris Demetriou, he expounds the word apokrima in the book of Acts. It is translated as “answer,” meaning “a separation or distinction, an answer of God providing strong confidence.”

God Does Answer Prayers

Pastor Chris presents that when God hears, He really does answer. And it’s not accurate when people say that God does not hear them. He then further points out that sometimes the error is usually on our side because of our impatience.

“We pray to God and God wants to answer because He wants to bless us,” he explained. “But we are too impatient and we want Him to answer our way, in a specific time frame. And we want it to be beneficial to us.”

Then the pastor stresses that sometimes we can’t recognize God’s answer because we don’t like it. That’s why we have to be open to what God has for our lives.

Failing To Hear God

In addition, another mistake most people commit is not being able to hear God. It’s because they expect something spectacular and the dynamic voice of God to shake their lives.

“But you know the Bible tells me that the still quiet voice is often the case,” he said.

Answer prayers

Although God can do spectacular things, most often, He speaks in a still, quiet voice. Thus, Pastor Chris added, “If you’re not listening for that still quiet voice, you won’t hear.”

Then he revealed the most important way that God answers prayers—through the Holy Spirit.

“Stop looking in the wrong places for answers,” he said. “The answers are in you. The fact that you have the Holy Spirit and you’re submitted to Him, remember that He wants to bless you. He wants to pour out His love upon you and demonstrate that love through answered prayer.”

“Don’t fall into the trap that God doesn’t want to answer you. I assure you He’ll answer you His way. He will answer you the way that will impact on your life more than any other way.”

Revivalist Randy Clark, expounds on an element of grace with a fresh perspective. There are a lot of people talking about “hyper-grace” these days. You might have heard the term used in the pulpits on occasion. God is calling us by His grace. 

Randy continues to discuss how God calls us by His Sovereign grace, nothing more. He calls us, in spite of our own shortcomings. A major reason is so He can get all the glory. We can’t do it without Him.

The “Call” is by grace, but with that call comes responsibility. With that call, it starts in grace and justification comes in the process of sanctification.

Sanctifying grace is the process by which God takes each of us and turns us into who He wants us to become.

Sanctifying grace is a part of grace. Sanctifying grace is the process of God taking us by the hand from where we are today, to where He wants to take us tomorrow and the next day. Sanctifying grace is the process by which God takes each of us and turns us into who He wants us to become.

Randy’s passion for the word of God really comes across in this video. Specifically when he’s explaining the process of sanctification, “It’s a work of grace, not law. It’s the process of God cleaning us up and removing darkness from our lives. He’s going to take out of us the walk that’s unholy. He’s going to remove the walk that’s unrighteous. It’s the work we cannot do on our own. It’s the kind of grace that requires us to confess our sin.”

The power of sanctification is the ability for us to actually walk in grace instead of bondage.

When Change Knocks on Your Door, Answer with Peace

When Change Knocks on Your Door…

“I the LORD do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.” Malachi 3:6

Knock, knock, knock…An unwanted visitor known as “Change” recently knocked on the door of my life, and I had to answer.  And, it hit me like a ton of bricks– The news…unexpected, life-altering. The kind that “knocks the wind out of you” and makes your heart just ache as you wonder…”What is going to happen next”?

Have you been there? One minute in the comfort zone of the normal routine, enjoying life, and thinking that things will always be the same. Then, a phone call, a message, a conversation–that moment when life suddenly gets interrupted, and things are no longer as they once were.

No matter whether the change is positive or negative, it always involves adjustment…Maybe you too can identify. Throughout life, one page will turn, one chapter will close, and another one will begin. It’s not a matter of “if”, it’s a matter of “when”… So, how should we respond to change when it decides to “come for a visit” and shake things up?

1. Run to the ONE who never changes and know that HE is the only constant in this life.

Malachi 3:6a states this encouraging truth about God: “For I the Lord do not change.” “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). How comforting to know that when inevitable change occurs, God never will. He is our firm foundation when all else is shaken. We can open our hearts before Him, take comfort in His Word, and hold on to His unchanging promises.

2. Realize that beautiful things can be birthed from change, as painful as it may be.

One example is the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly. In order to survive and have strong wings, a caterpillar must endure this process of struggling its way out of the cocoon. Spiritually speaking, God allows us to go through a transformation in order to experience the necessary growth that will prepare us for the plans He has ordained for our lives. If the caterpillar didn’t go through the process, it would never become a new creation. God can create beautiful things in our lives through our own personal and spiritual transformation. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

3. God can work good out of every situation whether the change that occurs is exciting or traumatic.

He can use it to stretch us outside of the familiar in order to stretch our faith and to deepen our dependence on Him. The biblical character Joseph was first rejected by his brothers, sold into slavery, and imprisoned before God promoted him as second in command to Pharaoh. Genesis 50:20 states that although the enemy meant evil against Joseph, God in His sovereignty, turned everything for good, and in the process shaped Joseph’s character. And, David was first a shepherd boy before he was anointed king of Israel. God can miraculously use our past as training ground for our future, and He can change our locations, our job titles, and any number of things to place us where He wants us to be in order to fulfill His Kingdom purposes. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes.” Romans 8:28

Final thoughts:

Embrace the transition, knowing that Almighty God is walking with you into the future He has planned for your life and that nothing catches Him by surprise.

When circumstances shift causing challenges, heartbreak, a time of transition, or all of the above, we can rest in God, who never changes. As we walk through the seasons of life, we can be at peace knowing that even challenging changes can be the catalyst that the Sovereign Lord uses to birth miraculous breakthrough in our lives. May this encourage us to hold our arms open wide in full surrender to God trusting Him as one chapter in our lives may be closing and another chapter may be beginning. God is the Alpha and the Omega (the beginning and the end), and He is also omniscient (all-knowing). As the Author of the story, He recognizes everything we face. This truth should motivate us to put the pens down to our own lives (our own control) and trust Him completely with every outcome that we face in the script. Whether you have already opened the door to “Change” or awaiting the inevitable knock, you can rest assured that God is already there. Embrace the transition, knowing that Almighty God is walking with you into the future He has planned for your life and that nothing catches Him by surprise.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
