A father from the Philippines has gone viral with over 132,000 shares, selling banana cakes on the side of the street to raise support for his son’s liver transplant.
Antonio Detablan is a 34-year-old father from Laguna, Philippines. He has been selling his homemade cakes for his 8-month-old son, Aquiro’Baby Aki’ Jazz. Baby Aki was diagnosed with biliary atresia in October of 2018 and is still in need of a liver transplant costing $32,000. He sells his banana cakes for about $2.5 per loaf in hopes of gathering enough money for his son’s transplant.

Jabee Imano Galindes, Antonio’s wife, helps him raise funds by selling printed shirts and holding online raffles to help raise money. The couple has been married for 9 years and now has three children. The couple’s second child, Arkhin, survived hydrocephalus in 2016 which made them believe that a miracle can happen again.
“Thank you so much to the Lord and to the people He has touched with his gracious hands. It is the Lord too who will return their goodness to us and most especially to our child Aki,” Jabee said.
Doctors have told Baby Aki’s parents that he must undergo a liver transplant before he reaches one year old. He is now taking multivitamins as medication while waiting for his operation. In the case where Baby Aki would not be operated until his first birthday, it is said that he will not be able to reach 2 –years-old.
The family is open to accepting donations for their son.
Let us help Baby Aki extend his life by praying for his family, sharing his story and making a donation. Those who would like to donate to help Baby Aki you can reach Jabee Imano Galindes or Antonio Detablan by calling (depending on your country): 09475362919.
