In an episode of A Life You Love with host Renee Evans, Jasmine Tate, Visionary of AXL Creative Co., shares her story of how she is bringing the Kingdom of God outside the church building. AXL Creative Co. is a community that equips and empowers Christians to advance the Kingdom of Heaven through their creative expressions.

“I started doing music outside the four walls of the church,” Jasmine shared. “Just really getting to see the Kingdom come in some of the least suspected places, so coffee shops, bars. I fell in love with doing it because I think there’s a lot of people in places like that that maybe would never come into a church building. But Jesus loves them and wants them.”

Creativity

Throughout the Bible, we can also see how Jesus is a creative person Himself. Jesus was seen oftentimes sharing the Kingdom of God to people through creative stories, the parables.

“If you look at Jesus Himself, there are so many different ways that we could have presented the Kingdom to people. And God decided that the way He wanted Jesus to present the Kingdom of heaven to people was through stories.”

Creativity is a gift given by God to His children to be used as a tool for advancing His Kingdom. Oftentimes creative people are being overlooked by people and their gifts are given less importance in the Kingdom works. That culture should be changed and we should start honoring the God-given gifts of creativity inside every person.

“When we honor the gift inside of someone, it amplifies the gift and gives it permission to grow and to show itself.”

In 2018, Jasmine started a community of creatives called AXL Creative Co. The vision of AXL is to equip and empower sons and daughters to advance the Kingdom through their creative expressions. AXL focuses on raising up cultural revolutionaries who are unafraid to move against culture as voices of purity and hope to this generation and the generations to come. A community of sons and daughters who believe in Kingdom over Culture, Collaboration over Competition, Obedience over Sacrifice, and many other AXL drivers. Currently, this in-person and online community is full of hundreds of singer and songwriters, dancers, painters, designers, videographers and more who are also passionate about seeing reformation in culture.

AXL Creative Nights

Once a month, we gather creatives from all across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The room is filled with singers, dancers, painters, poets (and more), representing 10-15 various churches in the region. We spend our time together worshipping, connecting hearts, learning about one another and being equipped to be carriers of the Kingdom of God through our creative expressions. About The Founder

Jasmine Tate is passionate about seeing the Kingdom of Heaven advanced in the earth through authentic revival in the Church and reformation in culture. While Jasmine has spent the last ten years traveling the nation as a speaker, worship leader, singer-songwriter and creatives’ coach, she currently serves as one of the Executive Pastors at Mercy Culture Church, based in Fort Worth, TX. Between leading various teams like Mercy Culture Worship and the Mercy Culture Creative Team, she’s been given the opportunity to lead an army of creatives whose sole focus is to take people from corporate encounters with God to daily, personal encounters with God.

In 2010, Jasmine began her career in music as a singer-songwriter. After being taught to play the guitar supernaturally, she traveled the nation bringing songs about life and declarations of hope to coffee shops, universities, music venues, churches, etc. Jasmine has become known for sharing raw, moving songs that provoke people to look inward. Through her music, she has found a way to provide hope for people in the midst of hard realities. As she experienced seeing the Kingdom advanced through her music, she began training up other creatives to do the same.
