Your Prayers Are Being Heard

I remember a few years ago, right after I had become a Christian, it was the middle of my twenties and my life took a complete drastic turn. And I started to share things on social media that were completely different than what I had been sharing before. And I will never forget that this girl from high school. I have an older sister who’s about a year and a half older, and she’s been a Christian for as long as I can remember in our teens. I remember this girl from high school messaged me on Facebook saying, “Wow, Jen, this is so encouraging to see the fruit of your sister’s prayer, 10 years later to see you come to know the Lord. I just want you to know that your sister was praying for you.” I think it was at Fellowship of Christian Athletes in high school, and now 10 years later, like to see the fruit of those prayers come to pass. And it just impacted me so much, especially in the last seven years of my walk with the Lord to encourage me that while I’m praying for people.

I think we all have someone in our life that we’re contending for that we just want to know that Jesus loves them so much. And I share that testimony a lot to encourage people, that if they have a family member or a friend that they’ve been relentlessly praying for, to just know that those prayers are heard. Those prayers are impacting the person that they’re believing for, that they’re loving on. And that one day I fully believe that you’ll see that person come to know the fullness of Jesus in their life as well.

So I just pray for you, if that’s you, that you feel the endurance in that, that you feel that the Lord is covering them, and that you just see little nuggets of how your life has impacted them as you continue to just believe for that fullness in their life.

Encourage Yourself

Did you know that you can encourage yourself, even when you’re going through a difficult time? I’m just going to share a little bit on how to do that. So, imagine yourself getting out of bed in the morning. There’s a whole day that’s before you. Get in the word of God, get into prayer right away in the morning. If you will sit with the Holy Spirit and open the word and begin to feast on the word; you know, we wake up in the morning and we’re hungry for breakfast, well, let’s be hungry for the word of God. And if we will let the word of God fill us, then we’re going to be full of hope, and we’re going to end up being encouraging ourselves. Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks, right? It says in Luke 6:45.

And so, if I am filling my heart with the word, I’m filling my heart with the promises, I’m going to finish out my day, I’m going to walk throughout my day, remembering that God is for me, so who can be against me? You know, I just love the word of God. If I don’t know how I’m going to manage in my day, I get the word in me. I spend time with God right away in the morning, and then I’m reminded that He is with me no matter what comes. You know, we need to be ready in season and out of season, and I believe that that happens when we are stewarding our time in the word and in prayer.

I want to pray for you today. God, I thank you for everyone who’s watching right now. I pray God, over all of their circumstances, every situation, Lord, I just pray that people would resolve to encourage themselves by choosing to get into the word and choosing to be in your presence, God. And I declare that there are testimonies that will come of this, when people are in your word and they’re hungry and you are filling them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Repair And Build Your Altar

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness (Psalms 65:11)

God has blessed each year with His goodness, and the year 2022 is not an exception. But we need to get prepared to enjoy the goodness of God. Proverbs 28:9 says, “God has no use for the prayers of the people who won’t listen to him” This means prayer of a sinner is an abomination to the Lord. When a believer is living in sin, you will give the adversary an advantage over you to oppose your right; the adversary opposes and denies your God-given right.

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” James 4:7 also says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” So, we can only resist the devil from devouring us, our needs, and right when we submit ourselves totally to God.

Examine Yourself

What the world experienced between 2020 and 2021 has created fear of the unknown. Many families, individuals, organizations, and even churches and governments experience a lot of setbacks while many families are still mourning their loved ones. As you go into the new year 2022, take a deliberate effort to prayerfully examine yourself to repair and build your altar where necessary to counter the devil the adversary and deny any of his wiles against you. So, you can partner with God to enjoy His blessing and goodness, not only for yourself but also to be a blessing to others. God will never deny us of His blessing, except you deprive yourself of His blessing. “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” 2 Corinthians 1:20. Also, see Romans 6:1-2, Isaiah 59:1-2, Psalms 66:18, 1 Peter 3:12-13

So, what is altar?

An altar is a house of a spirit on earth.

It is where the covenant is being activated and maintained.

An altar is where the spirit realm interacts with the physical realm.

It is a place of exchange and a divine excuse for intervention

The Scriptures say God is a Spirit and His Spirit lives in us. See 2 Corinthians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Galatians 4:6-7, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 6:16
