In an encounter with the Holy Spirit that totally transformed her life, Hayley Braun recounts how God took a seed that had been planted in her life months before and brought it to life.

Haley Braun is an Overseer at BSSM Third Year.
She recently wrote a book titled “Surrendered to the Holy Spirit” after a radical encounter with the raw and powerful presence of the Holy Spirit.
At first, Hayley didn’t know God wanted to encounter her.
“And if I’m honest, I’ve been a Christian my whole life, but I didn’t necessarily know that God wanted to encounter me,” she said.
She her time in the school, and she wasn’t one of ones who experienced physical manifestations all the time.
But she got desperate. And when she did, God revealed Himself to her

She had been battling the fear of man. It caused her to live a life of “perpetual sacrifice,” but she wasn’t living a life of obedience. She admitted that she was often operating on her own strength.
Hayley Braun Encounters The Holy Spirit
“I’m completely burnt out. I was at the end of my rope. My body was telling me that it was exhausted. In the middle of this burnout that I had, I had adrenal fatigue; I had viral fatigue; two viruses happening reawakened in my body, mono and shingles at the same time,” she said.
In the middle of this, she received a prophetic word from Michael Koulianos during an Open Heavens Conference.
Hayley then recalled her journey to encountering the Holy Spirit:
“In this encounter that lasted for six weeks, my intimacy with the Lord and my awareness of the power of the Holy Spirit was awoken to another level. And I realized that, for a long time, I’ve been crying out for God to fill a room when He wanted to fill me, and I realized that I was well on my way to good form, but I needed power.”
Encountering God
Encountering the power of the Holy Spirit made Hayley realize that her life as a Christian relies solely on the Spirit.
“The power in the Christian life isn’t our striving. The power in the Christian life is the person of the Holy Spirit. God doesn’t give us tools to deal with circumstance. He gives us Himself—unapologetically, without restraint. He touches us and fills us with Himself.
“After the six-week encounter, the prophetic word of Michael Koulianos came true. The fear of man was dealt with in my life, and I’m a different human. In fact, January 14th is like a birthday for me. It’s as beautiful as my conversion day because it was the moment that God, by His mercy, He dealt with the thing that was holding me back, that was exhausting me. And He met me, and He filled me with Himself,” she said.
