The upcoming movie “Big George Foreman” releases a trailer about the famed boxer’s true story of redemption and returning to boxing after becoming a pastor.

Former world heavyweight champion George Foreman’s life story has been turned into a film this year. According to the report, “Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World” the movie will be released on April 28. “Dan Gordon, Frank Baldwin, and Tillman Jr.” created the story. George Tillman Jr directed the film.

The film begins with George entering the Olympic and World Heavyweight scene out of anger. It became his outlet from life’s struggles, which he gained a gold medal in the Olympics and became a Champion in the World Heavyweight. But living in the limelight as a professional boxer all changed when he nearly died. The near-death experience led him to encounter God. Soon, he gave up the boxing profession to become a pastor.

“But when he sees his community struggling spiritually and financially,” the film synopsis reads. “Foreman returns to the ring and makes history by reclaiming his title. Becoming the oldest and most improbable World Heavyweight Boxing Champion ever.”

Returning To Boxing After Becoming A Pastor

The film highlighted the former boxing champion’s life when he became famous. And until he turned to the pulpit as a preacher. In the trailer, the actor who played as George said that “‘ preaching is ‘just as hard’ as getting ‘punched in the face.'”

Then at 45 years old, George was forced to return to the boxing ring because of his family and church’s financial struggles. And although it had already been nearly a decade since he was inside the ring, he won the Heavyweight Champion title again.

One of the most famous boxing videos in sports history was “Rumble in the Jungle.” It’s a fight between the legend Muhammad Ali and George.
