Author Liz Wright Shares Truth About Being A New Creation In Christ

In the first episode of Encountering God on GOD TV, Liz Wright shared about what it means to be a new creation in Christ.

Liz Wright is an international best-selling author and speaker based in the UK. She experienced a visitation from Jesus in 1995, which has had a lasting impact on her life and ministry. Since then, she has helped many across the globe to know and encounter God’s love.

Her passion is “to empower you to live secure, free, and tangibly in the love of Jesus.”

In episode one of GOD TV’s newest program, “Encountering God,” she encouraged viewers to “reignite your ability to understand who you are as a new creation in Him.”

New Creation In Christ

Liz received a word from Lord that she shared in the episode:

“You are not maturing to become something. But you are awakening to who you already are. You are the reflection of God. Your nature is divine nature. He is resetting you from unbelief. He’s reseting you into a place of knowing who you are. Of being certain of His love for you, where you believe everything that Jesus says as a matter of fact. Then you’re going to live in receive mode, full of fresh faith. Where anything outside of His truth does not make sense anymore.”

It’s time to know who we are in Christ. As Galatians 2:20 reminds us, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (NIV).

She also shared a testimony Lindy who received a vision from God: “Jesus showed me this cross, and it had filthy rags on it. But I knew immediately that when I saw the rags, they were actually my rags. But they looked so foreign. I couldn’t associate myself with them anymore. And He said, “Look, Lindy. That’s what I’ve done for you. I took your filthy rags and placed them on the cross. And you are now a complete, new creation.”

She added, “What it did to my heart just ignited this… just knowing that it doesn’t matter what I still maybe do wrong sometimes. And even when I do stuff wrong now, I can literally feel it’s not part of my nature anymore. It was all based on the scripture, Galatians 2:20. When I heard it read to me, it just ignited this vision and it changed everything,” she concluded.

Christian Says Pornography Is ‘Not A Sin’ Until He Had A Dream From God

A man who was struggling with a pornography addiction testified how God saved him from that bondage and claimed that God sent him a revelation through a dream.

Many Christians today are struggling to get over porn addiction. Perhaps because most people are ashamed to bring it to light and are afraid that they will be judged. Or, they hesitate to seek help because most churches rarely address the issue since it’s hardly talked about. Aaron Kim had the same struggle as a Christian. So he decided to put up a video to help others overcome porn addiction through his testimony.

How The Freedom From Porn Addiction Happened

In Aaron’s YouTube video, he wrote, “My testimony of how God saved me from my addiction to pornography; 7 years of no struggle or desire for porn.”

He continued, “My goal is to enlighten fellow believers currently under the bondage of pornography of how damaging and harmful it is to us. And to encourage and guide others out of it through the Lord’s helping.”

Aaron said that he brought up the topic because he knows “a lot of us Christians are addicted to pornography.”

And he stressed, “It is so important that you need to get out of it in order for your walk with God to be unhindered. When you’re addicted to pornography, your walk with God is really stunted. It’s like a barrier between you and God.”

Pornography Is Hurting Your Relationships

The good husband knows very well because, in the past, porn was a huge part of his life even when he already had a relationship with God.

“It really hurts your relationship with God…It really hurts your relationship with those around you especially if you’re a married person. It’ll harm your relationship with your spouse and your children,” he said.

Apparently, Aaron started watching porn when he was in junior high school. Eventually, it became more prevalent in his life during high school and college. And he had a full-on addiction after he graduated.

At age 24, he found Christ and was saved. He stopped watching porn. But after about 8-months, it crept back into his life.

“I started to just do it again but this time as a born again Christian,” he said.

The addiction bothered Aaron to the core, however, he went as far as not labelling porn as a sin.

Every night he would look at it and get on his knees to ask for God’s forgiveness. It just became a ritual and he did it over and over again. The addiction continued its course in his life and carried on for about three years after being saved.

Until one night he had a dream from God that changed everything.

5 Keys To Victorious Christianity

Every born-again, Spirit-filled believer is supposed to live a victorious life in Christ. However, many Christians are barely able to survive the challenges of life, let alone overcome them. That divides us into two categories: a Christian and a Victorious Christian. In which category do you fall in? Here are five hallmarks of a victorious Christian’s lifestyle:

1. He / she celebrates God’s Word

You only celebrate what you value. Victorious Christians place top priority on God’s Word and make it a reference point for all their decisions. They depend on the counsel of God’s Word more than their friends, or people around them have to say, even more than what their minds have to say. They are lovers of God’s Word, and this love only grows more intense with the passing of time.

2. They know how to choose

The choices we make today will determine the amount of spiritual authority we have tomorrow. A majority of believers remain stagnant in their lives even after years of being saved because the choices they make are in the flesh. A victorious Christian does not conform to the choices that the world makes, rather they make a conscious effort to be led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). They are not only filled with the Spirit, but keep in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).

3. He / she is flint-focussed towards their vision

This world is in desperate need of leaders who have the vision God has etched upon their hearts. A victorious Christian is not a talker but a doer! They have a divine vision, set tangible goals towards their vision and are good stewards of their time. They keep their mind’s eye on what God has called them to become and make their focus like flint (Isaiah 50:7) They are also humble, hardworking and showcase a spirit of excellence in whatever they put their hands to.

4. They operate in love

Love is the basis of what a victorious Christian says and does. And because it is so, they leave very little room for offence or unforgiveness to take root in their hearts. Freely we receive and freely we must give. They imitate the love of Jesus, displaying the fruit of the Spirit in great measure.

5. He / she guards their associations

A victorious Christian realises that his or her friends can take them closer to God’s destiny for their lives or further away from it. Their attitudes and opinions, like pollen, blow into our lives, shaping our perspective and influence our decisions. And so they surround themselves with people who are on the same mission as they are. They stay away from those who are lovers of the world (James 4:3,4) and stick to lovers of Jesus, those who put their trust in Him and Him alone (1 Corinthians 8:3).

Are You Ready for Royalty?

From Pauper to Princess

The wife of Prince William of England, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is a beautiful and famous princess.

She is highly regarded as royalty, the wife of the next King of England.
Before she married the prince, she was not royalty, certainly not by blood. But immediately she married the Prince, she became royalty, equal to any royal in England and abroad.

Now imagine, a high-powered delegation from the Royal Family of Great Britain visits your church, the Princess included. They walk in with all the pomp and grandeur of royalty and offered seats specially reserved and set apart from the congregation.

You then go outside to buy a drink from a vendor outside, and to your surprise, you meet the Princess there, angrily exchanging words with the vendor.

What will be your reaction? What will be your first thought? I can bet, you will be wondering why a princess would behave like that!?

Natural and Spiritual Standards of Royalty

Even in the natural, we have standards for Royalty! If we understand as Christian sisters, that we are royalty, Princesses of God, we will also have standards!

Anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God and Lord of their lives becomes Royalty. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:12).

As we are baptized and led by the Holy Spirit, we become Sons of God (Romans 8:14). Male or female according to His word we are all ‘SONS’ because of the blood of Jesus.

The Born Again Royals

We have to come to the realization, that we are NOW children of the King of Kings, we are His princesses, and we must move from thinking as paupers, commoners without any ties to royalty.

When we were of the world, we were cut off from our Father in Heaven, Creator of the Heavens and Earth.
Now we become born again, the blood of Jesus, makes atonement for us, and allows us to become the children of God, therefore we must cling unto Romans 12: 2 – And do not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
