Due to the global pandemic COVID-19, more and more people are forced to stay at home for quarantine. Mass gatherings are stopped. Some businesses are forced to close. And even churches halted gathering for a while. However, Christians in Brazil choose to worship together from their windows instead.
Several nations have done quarantine in their cities to slow down the rising positive cases of COVID-19. And this is what the nation of Brazil also did.
Quarantine Measures In Brazil
According to Wikipedia, 1,546 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Brazil. And there were already 25 people who died because of the disease. For that reason, the country immediately took quarantine measures.

But in the midst of this present situation, Christians are placing their hope in God. This is clearly evident in the post shared by Mariana Wakefield.
Mariana wrote, “Friends…. this filled my heart this morning. Brazil started to quarantine a couple of days ago and all Brazilians got the viral invitation through social media to go to their windows at 8 pm and sing “Because He Lives” together!”
Worshiping Together From Windows
Due to a viral message inviting believers to worship together through their windows, the powerful moment happened. Remarkably, a number of Christians responded to the invitation. And the video was recorded in three different locations in Brazil.
“Notice that there’s no one on the streets. Just out their windows,” wrote Mariana.
“Because He Lives”
In the video, everyone who participated sang the worship song “Because He Lives.” A heart-piercing song declaring and describing that because the LORD is alive, we shouldn’t fear anything and should place our tomorrow in Him.
Kaine N Hayley Manihera commented, “When the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard.”
Another comment by Diane Carter Boon said, “My God is so much bigger than coronavirus. Gave me chills.”
This response in the midst of the crisis truly shows that the Church is not bound in the four walls of a building. Because we are the body of Christ and we are the Church!
