Should I be trusting God when I have never seen Him or do not know what He looks like? That is probably the question of many. I want to tell you a story and then you can decide. When my life got turned upside down and I did not know where to turn, God was there. When friends and family turned their backs on me, God was there.
When I was facing death, when my family and I nearly got into that car accident, another car just sped up in front of us from a different lane and drove across us, which would have been a head on head collision, God saved us, God rescued us, God was there.
When I hit rock bottom and did not know what to do on many occasions, feeling hopeless, angry, alone, rejected, frustrated, confused, disappointed, downtrodden and let down, God was there.
When I thought my life was over and no one would love me, no one would think I am worthy, God said no, you are my daughter, you are blessed, you are the head and not the tail and I love you and nothing will separate you from my love, not trouble, not calamity, not persecution, not hunger, not destitution, not danger and not even when you are threatened with death. I have sent my Son Jesus to die for you, to die for your sins and to set you free. Believe in Me and follow Me for you are now a member of my household when you said yes to Jesus. God was there.
Psalms 125 talks about God’s protection for those who trust Him. Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people now and forever (Psalms 125:1-2). Yes, I can say, I am trusting God. even when the seasons are hard because troubles are temporary but God’s love is forever and ever always!
