New Ager Attends Church, Reads Bible, And Burns Astrology Books

A New Ager attended church out of curiosity. She then started reading the Bible and later burned all her astrology items because of a born-again experience with the Holy Spirit.

In an interview with Vlad Savchuk, former New Age practitioner Angela Ucci shared her life testimony. Apparently, she used to find her purpose in the New Age belief. So, Angela tried connecting with aliens believing she came from another planet with a mission on earth. She also participated in astral projection.

“Everything about astrology is just entirely self-centered,” Angela recalled. “It is just entirely spiritual narcissism.”

The former astrologist was obsessed with her beliefs because she was also obsessed with herself. Apparently, the Gospel doesn’t preach about self-love because God’s Word preaches “self-sacrifice.”

“That’s where real fulfillment comes,” she explained. “But Satan will do everything he can to get your eyes on the mirror rather set on Jesus.”

Curiosity On Christianity

Furthermore, Angela stressed that New Agers have good intentions to help people. But they are just decived by evil powers. She also used to have a podcast called “Moon and Back,” where she would do reports.

Angela now calls the astrology beliefs “band-aids on gunshot wounds.”

One day, Angela began to get curious about the Bible. She asked her Christian friend Alyssa lots of questions about Christianity. Later, her friend invited her to go church with her. That’s when she was amazed to hear the pastor preach her language. But this time, it was based in the truth of the Word of God.

Things then began to make sense for Angela, and she kept going back to attend church to hear the Word. At that point, the hunger in her heart to know God grew deeper.

Soon after, she began reading the New Testament and hearing Jesus’ voice. A couple of months later, she felt convicted about her belief in astrology. She sought counsel from a Christian friend. He told her the truth, saying, “look, I know it feels good, but it’s not true.” He also shared Isaiah 47 with her.

After hearing that, Angela felt the Holy Spirit fill her and felt the weight of sin. She cried and burned everything related to New Age and astrology. On that day, Angela got born again as she gave her life to Christ.

Woman Burned By Abusive Husband Finds Refuge & True Love In Jesus Christ

A woman burned by her abusive husband has found refuge, freedom, healing, and true love in Jesus Christ.

Loving wife & mother

Katie’s first two years of being married to her husband were happy; including life with their two daughters. However, her husband suddenly changed and became violent. He started beating her up in front of their children and even stabbed her one time. Because his apologies seem so sincere, Katie forgave him.

One day, after an argument that turned violent, Katie left their house with her children. She got a restraining order but that didn’t stop him from calling her and threatening her. He eventually found out where she and her daughters were hiding. Katie’s husband came to their house and right before she escaped, he threw a heater at her.

Abusive husband

She caught on fire and was in a coma for two weeks after suffering several burns.

“I had second to third-degree burns. The more my skin healed, the more it hurts. I got burns on my head, my face, my hands, my stomach, and my thighs. The pain was unbearable.”

After three months, her daughters saw her for the first time and cried seeing their mom’s condition. Katie asked the Lord, “Why Lord me?” She felt lost, depressed and thought that no one will ever love her because of her looks. But everything changed during a woman’s conference in their local church.

True love

Katie gave her life to Jesus Christ and found the freedom, healing, and true love that she has been longing for.

“At that moment, God gave me the joy and the love that I always longed for. I could see myself through God’s eyes, the feeling was overwhelming, and I felt like a new person. I didn’t even expect to feel like that,” she recalled.

After being born again, she chose to visit her ex-husband in prison and forgave him. It seems like a burden was lifted off of her after she released forgiveness. Today, 14 years after that terrible incident, she now living joyfully with her children and grandchildren.

“Now, I love myself. Who I am my worth is rooted in Christ. I’m a living testimony that His love never fails.”

Head Of School Beaten And Burned For Christian Faith

The headteacher of an Islamic school was beaten, burned, and fired after he converted to Christianity.

Yusufu Mwanje is the head of Ibunbaz Primary School, a private Islamic school in Bugiri town, Bugiri District in eastern Uganda. Earlier this month, he was attacked and burned by his colleagues after they heard them pray a Christian prayer. Following the assault, he was fired from the school.

A Christian businessman who supplied school equipment introduced Christianity to Yusufu. Whenever he comes to the headteacher’s office, he often prays in the presence of other Muslim teachers and staff. The businessman’s prayers encouraged Yusufu to get to know more about the Jesus he has been praying to. Earlier this year, the Muslim headteacher finally gave his life to Jesus Christ.

“I wanted to keep my faith in Christ secret and began missing Friday prayers as I attended evening prayers at the church,” Yusufu said in an interview with Morning Star News. “Some Muslim teachers noticed my absence and reported to the school management board.”

Yusufu wakes up at 3:00 AM every day to pray to Jesus Christ right before he heads to the mosque. On April 1, while praying his usual early morning prayer, a staff member of his school overheard his prayer.

“I did not know that there was someone hearing as well as recording the prayers,” he said, referring to a school staff member who lived next to his house. “I prayed till 4:30 a.m. and then prepared to go to the mosque because I wanted to protect my job.”

The following day, the staff member gathered other school teachers to eavesdrop on Yusufu’s prayer.

“As I finished the prayers at 4:45 a.m. and began preparing to go to the mosque to pray, I heard a knock at the door,” he said. “As I opened the door, there were people outside my door. They began shouting, ‘Allah akbar [the jihadist slogan, ‘God is greater’]! Allah akbar! Allah akbar! This is a kafir [infidel], this is kafir…They grabbed me and took me inside the mosque and started beating me badly and accusing me of heading a Muslim school yet I had converted to Christianity. Others shouted, ‘A liar, a liar, a liar…He deserves the death penalty.”

“I remembered [the businessman] telling me that in times of persecution I should call the name of Jesus,” Yusufu said. “As I mentioned the name Jesus in a low voice, one attacker said, ‘Azab Azab,’ meaning ‘punishment’ in Arabic. Immediately, two Islamic teachers named Ustaz Hamudan and Hashim Sajabbi brought two old jerry cans and lit them with fire, and started burning me with them. It was too painful. I fainted.”

Assault

His desperate prayer for protection was answered when an elderly Islamic teacher intervened. He instructed them not to kill him.

“He instructed some to take me to the school clinic for treatment,” he said. “I then realized that Jesus had come to save me.”

Yusufu was not properly treated in the clinic, he only received a painkiller. The school officials immediately fired him. He left the school property burnt, wounded, and empty-handed. He called the Christian businessman who helped him get the right treatment he needed.

Yusufu suffered third-degree burns on his leg and second-degree burns on his back. The assault on him was the latest of the many Christian persecutions in Uganda.

Bomb Attack Burned 35% Of Soldier’s Body & Today He Says, ‘These Scars Are A Blessing’

A bomb attack burned 35 percent of a soldier’s body that lost his ears and several fingers. But despite his condition, he remains positive, saying, “God has a plan.”

Shilo Harris’ Humvee, the driver, and three other soldiers were patrolling when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasted. The bomb attack took the life of the three soldiers, and only Shilo and the driver survived. For 48 days, Shilo was in a coma for severe third-degree burns that burned 35 percent of his body. As a result, he lost both of his ears and several fingers.

Amidst the battle in surviving the severe burns, it’s not the memories of the explosion that Shilo was struggling with. Instead, it’s the memories of his coma for 48 days that kept him awake.

“Death is a place,” he said. “It was just the most scariest, the most dark and creepy… everything was sharp and painful. The helpless feeling just haunts me.”

Turning Point

Moreover, he said he was in hell spiritually while in a coma. The excruciating part was when he found out that he lost three of his friends in the bomb attack. That’s when he came into a new place with Christ. It became one of the turning points of his life.

Today, Shilo experiences pain regularly, but it’s incredible how God is still using him for a greater purpose.

“I’m here because of God. And I know that these scars are a blessing. I know that early on, I didn’t necessarily see it that way. But I’ve learned that these scars are a blessing,” he remarked.

“It could have killed all of us… But I really feel like God has a plan for me. And that’s why I do what I do,” Shilo further added.

The solder has published a book titled “Steel Will: My Journey through Hell to Become the Man I was Meant to Be.” And he is now a motivational speaker, leading many people out from the darkness to Christ.

A young man who was burned, stabbed, left for dead, living life in alcohol and drugs found hope when he heard the Gospel. Now, he is living his life for Jesus and is being used mightily by God to share His love!

Burned, Stabbed, Left For Dead

Peter Gladwin suffered from several misfortunes growing up. He went through severe burns at ten months old and had partially amputated feet when their house burned. Peter also lost his fingers on his left hand. And he went in and out of the hospital for three and half years.

 

So growing up crippled, Peter never had a sense of purpose and a vision for his life.

“When you look at your crippledness, it’s very difficult to see anything else,” he said.

In his teenage years, his situation led him to a downward cycle. Then at 15 years old, a gang of youths attacked him. They stabbed him on his arm and chest.

Escape

Peter wanted to escape all the misfortunes that were happening in his life. So he resorted to alcohol and drugs to forget the past and painful memories. Since then, Peter has struggled with gambling as well, living a hopeless existence. More so, he also ended sleeping on streets, benches, and train stations.

At 24 years old, he was in a hit-and-run car accident that left him dead in the middle of the road. His skull got fractured, and his body was severely hurt. He was in critical condition in the hospital.

Realizing that he was living in a downward spiral kind, he thought of committing suicide at 27 years old. He desperately wanted just to end everything and leave the past behind.

Amazingly, what happened next changed his life forever, and he gave his life to Jesus.

At his lowest point, he went to his mother’s house. His mother didn’t know what to do and they called Peter’s sister for help. His sister led Peter to Christ and that changed his life forever.
