Lady Gaga, John Legend and original singers Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli teamed up for a powerful virtual performance of “The Prayer.”
One World: Together At Home
A virtual concert series titled “One World: Together At Home” was organized by the Global Citizen. The star-studded virtual event was streamed online on April 18 via YouTube.
In the segment, pop-stars Lady Gaga and John Legend joined with the original singers of “The Prayer” to render a four-part harmony of the song. They were accompanied by renowned pianist Lang Lang.
The Prayer
“The Prayer” was first released 22 years ago for the film “Quest For Camelot” and was performed by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. The Saturday online concert ended with the message of hope and faith conveyed by the song’s performance.

The performance was not the only performance by Andrea Bocelli that made a headline this month. Andrea performed on special live stream concert from Milan on Easter Sunday. YouTube showed it had more than 30 million views.
According to the Italian opera singer, what he did was not a performance, but a prayer.
“I received this invitation by the mayor of Milan. And by the authorities of the church and of course, I answered yes. I’m very happy to do this,” he said. “It’s not a performance, it’s not a concert, it’s a prayer.”
Andrea encouraged everyone to pray with him as they listen to the song.
“I will go there to pray. And I’d like to think that everyone listening to me sing can pray with me.”
