A group of Christians broke into the song ‘Lean On Me’ in a Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee, turning the restaurant into a church.
Worship Broke Out
A group of worship leaders was visiting Chick-Fil-A when they turned the restaurant into a worship service. These Christians are all part of the Acapella Ministries Worship Leader Institute 2019. And while they broke into singing Bill Withers’ version of ‘Lean on Me,’ other customers and Chick-Fil-A workers joined them.
One Christian man started to sing:
“Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there’s always tomorrow”
Then other worship leaders joined him in harmony:
“Lean on me, when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on”
Chick-Fil-A Turns Into A Church
Almost everyone stood inside Chick-Fil-A to join the restaurant to sing with the worship leaders.
Witnesses of the spontaneous worship recorded videos of the moment and posted them on social media. It went viral and brought joy to millions around the world.
This powerful moment teaches believers that God’s moving cannot be boxed inside the walls of the church. His Spirit is with us and in us. That’s why no matter where we go or no matter what circumstance, we should always rejoice and worship God anytime. What they did is genuinely encouraging to the body of Christ.
Now, this is church without walls! Watch people at Nashville Chick-Fil-A worshipping the Lord.
“But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.” -John 4:23-24
