“For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done.” (Nehemiah 6:9)
The battle often looks like Satan working to weaken your faith and your prayer life. He interferes with your time in God’s presence while hindering your progress. Satan makes sure that you are fruitless and never accomplish God’s ordained purpose and plan for your life. But you have the Holy Spirit’s power within you. The battle has been won and God is fighting for you. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14) this isn’t the time to stop but to press through in prayer, fasting, the word of God and in His presence, in order to win the battle over the plots and plans of the enemy.
The Batte: God Will Provide
And, you need to ask just as Nehemiah did in the midst of his enemies, “Now, therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.” (Nehemiah 6:9) Because your only needs are exactly what God can provide for the journey ahead!
I think Paul says it best in 2 Corinthians 12:29: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
The Battle: Greater Is He in You
Why? Because the Devil is working through people, circumstances, difficulties, sicknesses, non-productiveness and other issues. Satan works to make you shut your mouth, quit, feel defeated, and even go as far as to say “What is the use in serving God?” The devil wants you to doubt God’s faithfulness but “the Devil is a liar” You will prevail! Why? Because “Greater is he (Jesus) that is in you, than he (the Devil) that is in the world.” (I John 4:4)
