Christy Wimber emphasized that it takes God to follow God.
True transformation doesn’t mean being stronger and better than before, it means being more surrendered to God. It is admitting to all our shortcomings and weaknesses and allowing God to work in us.
“This is not about having a stronger will of becoming strong in our own power, but rather, becoming more surrendered. I really honestly believe in the transformation that God does in us. It’s getting to the place where we are admitting our lack and admitting our weakness,” Christy explained.
It takes God to follow God
The things that frustration us are the things that we have not yet surrendered to God. It takes more than just our willingness to surrender to Him, it takes courage and His strength to do so.
“It takes God to follow God,” she emphasized. “And I believe that it actually takes more courage to admit our weaknesses and we need God in every area of our life instead of putting on this appearance that we have it all together.”
Every season and circumstance that we’ve been through is a catalyst for transformation. It is a process that God is leading us into for us to be molded by Him.
“Everything that God is taking us through, the thing is that to choose to be planted, God sees this as none of it’s a waste. So, this journey in saying yes to God is that everything we’re going through, God’s like saying, ‘Don’t waste what you’re going through.’ Like, don’t waste your pain.”
