Healthcare workers applauded a 78-year-old grandpa as he victoriously walks out from the hospital after beating coronavirus.
Ian Hornby’s grandfather was taken to the hospital due to pneumonia. It scared him as it turned out that he had coronavirus. We all know that this virus is life-threatening for the elderlies and those with pre-existing medical conditions.
Battling Against Coronavirus
The 78-year-old was confined in the hospital for several days. Many days battling the virus and not even a single family member was allowed to visit him. How utterly terrifying is that? Nobody knew if he would make it or not. Only God knew.
Finally, after ten excruciating days, Ian’s granddad beat the odds! He kicked COVID-19 to the curb.
He really did fight hard to live, considering the response from the health-workers.
Healthcare Workers Honors The Grandpa
Ian posted on a video Twitter how the healthcare workers honored his grandpa when he was leaving the hospital.
The health-workers met him outside his room. They formed a line along the hallway while observing social distancing and applauded him. He stopped for awhile and expressed his appreciation to some of the nurses as well. More so, he raised his hand in revel to his hard, well-earned victory.
The fight isn’t yet over for Ian’s grandpa. As well as for the healthcare workers.
Every healthcare worker continues to put their lives on the line every day to serve the people. There are still the crazy long shifts, sleepless nights, and thoughts of whether they would get infected anytime even when they’re following protocol..
Also, Ian’s grandfather will continue to do self-isolation at home. He needs to stay healthy and stay vigilant even though he had already beat the odds.
Praise God for sustaining and healing Ian’s grandpa!
