DawnChere Wilkerson shares a powerful message about the grace of God. Grace is the power of God working in our lives. One can only experience that power if we have learned to fully surrender to God. It’s laying down all our strengths and weaknesses unto Him and allowing His power to rest on us.
“You haven’t experienced how explosive the power of God is because you’ve never completely relinquished your weaknesses and your will to the grace of God. It’s only until you decide, ‘God, I’m not capable of doing this by myself,’ that God’s power will actually rest on you.”
Nothing is too hard for God. In every season and situation you are in, God’s power is enough for you.
“Grace is the empowerment of God and that’s what exactly the scripture is saying is that His grace is sufficient for you today. Whatever you’re facing, His power is sufficient for you.”
True Identity
DawnChere also shared another thing that is wonderful about the grace of God, it reveals our true identity.
“The grace of God reveals identity. The word of God says, ‘Old things have passed away, behold all things are new.’”
Whatever your past is, by the grace of God, you are a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come. Oftentimes, we create our self-image based on our weaknesses and strengths, however, that is not our true identity. Our identity is not based on what we say or what others say, it’s based on what God says we are.
“You are not who others say you are, you are not who you think you are, but you are who God says you are.”
