During his post-game interview, football player Demario Davis did not talk about the game. Instead he shared the good news of his daughter’s remarkable recovery after the “worst seizure” attack.

Demario Davis is the linebacker for New Orleans Saints. He has always been vocal about his faith. For him, trusting God in every situation is very important.
In a recent video, he shared this realization after dealing with his daughter’s condition.
“We play this game on Sundays; it’s really the Lord’s Day and the day we should be worshiping the Lord. But a lot of times players get worshiped. Since so many of us didn’t get to go to church today, I have a word that I want to share,” he said.
He continued by sharing Revelation 3:20: “I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door in and dine with him and eat with him and he with me.”
Demario Davis Shares His Daughter’s Recovery
Demario Davis then testified about “the knock” he received just recently.
“My daughter, she’s four years old; she got her third epilepsy seizure attack. It’s the same daughter who survived retinoblastoma. She’s been totally clear about that, but she had her third seizure, and it’s been almost two years,” he said.
He shared that it was the worst seizure attack she has experienced and thoughts in his head were running wild.

“You could imagine all the thoughts that’s racing through your mind; the last sight you see of your daughter is she’s totally out of it. My wife told me that our daughter stopped breathing in the car twice,” he recalled.
At the hospital, they prayed for his daughter’s recovery. They didn’t see instant healing, but in the middle of the night, he heard a knock.
God Heals
“And the knock was my daughter. I prayed for her and said, “God, let this just be an attack from the enemy that is just trying to be a distraction. And let him overplay his hand. And let my daughter come back stronger than before,” he prayed.
God answered his prayer.
His daughter woke up talking clearer than she had before! The next morning, when she got up, she was coherent. No stuttering. All her words were clear. When they went home, it was as if nothing had happened to her.
Demario Davis can’t help but praise God and share what He has done.

He continued, “We get to play this game and it’s great. There’s so many amazing things that happened in the game and everybody wants to hear about them. But when we leave this game, we go back to being regular people. And regular people who are living life.”
“On the way, I was nervous, but I’m praying. And I’m trusting. And I’m believing. God gave me just what I asked for plus some, and I was blown away. And I just want people to know that if you have stuff going on in your life, lay it before the Lord. Lay it before the Lord and trust Him. And be expectant of a knock.”
“He’s not going to open the door for you. He’s going to knock, but you have to be listening and waiting for the knock. And when you receive it, you have to get up and open the door. Your blessing is going to be there,” he said.
