Woman With Terminal Illness Was Praying To Die Until God Stepped In

A woman who had a terminal illness for over three years was at the point of death when she came across a Christian program on television that would lead to her miraculous healing.

Terminal Illness

Barbara started suffering from intense stomach pains in 2012. Thus, she couldn’t keep any food down, and the pain became more unbearable. Doctors diagnosed her with acid reflux. They gave her medications, but they didn’t work. Soon after, she began suffering from terrible migraines and blurry vision.

Over the next two years, Barbara’s symptoms continued to get worse. Meanwhile, doctors couldn’t still figure out the cause of her illness. And for years, she could only eat crackers and water because she was in so much pain every time she ate regular meals. As a result, the mom lost a third of her body weight and looked deathly ill.

Body Shutting Down

But amid Barbara’s sickness, not being able to take care of her children properly bothered her the most.

Then in March 2015, she quit her job and due to the grim prognosis she received. Her body was shutting down without any reason.

“I felt death inside me,” she recalled.

Miracle

Barbara surrendered everything to God and in agony, prayed He would just let her die.

“I couldn’t handle anymore watching my kids watch me suffer,” Barbara said.

Until one day, she came across a Christian television program, The 700 Club. Then in that show, it said, “someone has an esophageal problem that has something to do with indigestion.”

“God’s healing that condition for you. You’ll not have any of those complications again,” the host released the word of knowledge. And when Barbara heard that, she knew it was for her.

Barbara witnessed a miracle in her body that would forever change her life.

Doctors Told Congresswoman ‘Your Baby Is Going to Die’ But God Miraculously Intervened

Doctors told Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler that her unborn baby would die due to her condition. But she heard God telling her to contend and fight for their unborn baby girl, and indeed, a miracle happened.

Unborn Baby With Potter’s Syndrome

Excited for her unborn baby girl, Abigail, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler publicly announced her pregnancy. But unfortunately, she received terrible news from doctors days later that shattered her.

“Your baby is going to die,” doctors told the expecting mom. According to their diagnosis, the unborn baby had Potter’s syndrome. It is “a rare disease characterized by a lack of amniotic fluid and kidney deficiency.”

“I remember the tech just going totally quiet,” she recalled to Faithwire. The scan showed that Abigail had no kidneys.

“[The doctors] said … ‘Your baby has no kidneys, which means there’s no amniotic fluid in there,” she said. “Which means your baby is going to die. There is no chance your baby will live. No baby has ever survived this. There is nothing to describe getting news like that.”

Turning To God, Never Giving Up

Hence, doctors advised her to have an abortion or induce the baby early. One doctor further recommended inducing so she would have time to say goodbye to her baby.

But despite the heartbreaking news, Jaime refused to give up and turned to God to determine her next steps.

“You are not getting that I do not want to be the one who ends this,” the representative thought back then. “I want this baby. I don’t want to end her life.”

So, Jaime turned to the Bible to seek guidance and wisdom. Then the next day, she received an email devotional about Jesus’ supernatural healings.

“It was five different scriptures about healing — about Jesus and how he healed people,” she recalled. “There was a little message about contending.”

A Fight For The Unborn Baby Girl

Jaime began to feel God telling her and her husband to fight for their unborn baby girl’s life. And that’s what they did exactly that despite what the doctors told them.

Soon after, the representative asked for prayers from the public.

“There is no medical solution available to us,” she wrote. “We are praying for a miracle.”

Jaime stood on God’s Word to her and claimed her miracle.

“It was just exactly what I needed. I’m a fighter anyway,” the congresswoman said. “I felt like the Lord said, ‘I’m going to give you the next step and the next step and the next step.”

Then she continued, “The Lord just really started to speak to my heart about what I was supposed to do in terms of contending for Abigail’s healing.”

“I felt like the Lord was like, ‘I’m going to give you this baby,'” she said.

Miracle Baby

It wasn’t an easy journey for Jaime and her husband. But God led them to another doctor who eventually helped them throughout the pregnancy, in keeping their baby until she was born.

Although harrowing and difficult, Jaime finally gave birth to Abigail. She recalls praying, “Jesus, save us.”

“I didn’t feel that he would [save us],” she added. “I just knew that he would.”

Today, Abigail is a healthy and happy 8-year-old little girl.

“She is a happy, healthy 8-year-old sister, she is really bright,” Jaime described. “She reads at, like, a 9th-grade level.”

Also, the grateful congresswoman advocates for families in a dire situation like she had experienced before. Her experience with her daughter Abigail inspired her. And she has a message to every parent, “Don’t give up and fight for your child.”

“We have encouraged and wanted to reach out to other families who are in these situations,” she said. “Don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”

Stranger Stays & Comforts Gunshot Victim To His Last Breath, ‘Nobody Wants To Die Alone’

A kind stranger who witnessed a gunshot victim stayed beside him to his last breath, saying, “nobody wants to die alone.”

Kind Stranger Toward Gunshot Victim

One Tuesday afternoon, a gunning incident that killed a man happened in Richmond, Virginia. After being shot, the victim’s car crashed into a pole. And Racquan Hazelwood, a Good Samaritan who witnessed the scene, immediately went toward the vehicle to help.

Racquan called 911, and when he came near, he saw gunshot holes and discovered the victim was deeply wounded. But because he couldn’t do anything while waiting for the rescue team, he stayed by the man’s side. The victim looked troubled. Hence, he assured him that the emergency services were coming. He also talked with him to comfort him. But before the EMS could arrive, the man took his last breath.

“At least somebody was there. That matters. Ain’t nobody wants to die alone,” Racquan said. “[The victim] said, ‘I’m about to die, man. I’m about to die,’ and I just wanted to comfort him.”

Fragility Of Life

The Good Samaritan also told WWBT-TV on the tragedy that happened, “All this gun violence gotta stop.”

On top of that, the incident left Racquan with some thoughts and reflections about the fragility of life.

“It just made me realize how quick life can go; that’s all I’ve been thinking about,” he said. “I thought about his face … I couldn’t get it out of my mind all night last night.”

According to the report, police are investigating the crime and looking for suspects following the gunning incident.

The man must have met a tragic end. But what Racquan showed is truly encouraging. It reminds us of Christ’s kindness and great love for us.

She Encountered Jesus In Prison, ‘I Wanted To Die But Was Afraid To Kill Myself’

A woman who grew up in church rebelled as a teenager and led a life filled with drugs, gangs, and violence until Jesus met her in prison.

Rebellious Teen

Yolanda Walters grew up in a prominent Christian family in South Carolina. She grew up in church but rebelled during her teenage years. She had a distorted view of God and was bitter towards her parents and even Christians. And it led her further away from God.

The bitterness in Yolanda’s heart also led her to try different religions. Then as a teen, an older man got her pregnant. But her resentment towards her parents only grew when they pressured her to marry the older man because they had to protect their family’s reputation.

Deeper Into Drugs

Yolanda married the father of her baby and that soon led her deeper into a downward path. Her husband physically abused her and also introduced her to drugs. As time went on, she left her husband, but the lady already got hooked deeper into using illegal drugs. And she didn’t care about her kids nor her family.

Moreover, the pain in Yolanda’s heart led her into the mindset of “to kill or be killed.” Hence, she went into prostitution, sold her body, and stole all while taking drugs. It led her to the point of having sex with someone who was HIV positive, thinking she could die from it until police authorities caught up with her and sent her to prison. She had racked up 35 felony drug convictions.

Jesus Meets Her In Prison

In prison, Yolanda began to seek Christ again. And at one point, she had to be tested for AIDS. Right then, Yolanda knew she had AIDS. But she cried out to God in her prison cell and asked for His healing. Three days later, Yolanda received her miracle as she was tested negative for AIDS.

Then in 2011, authorities released her from prison, and she went to church. There Yolanda suddenly dropped to her knees and bowed before God, and He showed up! Since then, she was never the same again.

Morris Cerullo, World-Renowned Evangelist Dies At 88-Years-Old

One of the well-known Christian evangelists in the world Morris Cerullo passed away Friday evening at 88-years-old.

In a post by Dr. Morris Cerullo’s Facebook page, the admin requested an urgent prayer request.

They wrote on Friday, “Dear Friends, we would appreciate your immediate prayers for Dr. Cerullo who is being treated for Pneumonia at the hospital. Please also pray for Theresa who has been working around the clock to assist in his care. She needs your prayers too for extra strength at this time. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for Morris and Theresa!”

Later on, the page announced on the evangelist’s passing saying he “went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2020, at the age of 88.”

His Journey In Faith

To millions of people who were touched by his life, they call Dr. Morris as “Papa.” His 72 years in the ministry reached more than 400 cities, 150 nations, and on 6 continents, according to MWCE.

Dr. Morris was born in Passaic, New Jersey. He became an orphan at an early age. Since he was two years old, he lived at the Daughters of Miriam Jewish orphanage in Clifton, New Jersey along with his four siblings.

Then at the age of 14, he came to know Jesus Christ. And eventually, he decided to leave the orphanage due to persecution because of his faith.

At age 17, he went to New York for a Bible college scholarship. And by the age of 23, the young Morris held his first overseas outreach in Greece. Since then, his ministry grew large as miracles would break out and thousands would give their lives to Jesus.

Legacy Of Morris Cerullo

In 1961, he founded the international ministry called Morris Cerullo World Evangelism (M.C.W.E.). His passion drove him to teach and raise up other Christian leaders as well. Because of that, many went out of their way to “establish ministries, churches, businesses, and organizations that help the poor, care for orphans and the homeless, and provide jobs to countless numbers of people.”

Morris’s simple obedience to God and his passion to help those in need led millions of people to Christ.

Moreover, in 2011, he launched the daily television show, “Victory Today.” He wrote more than 200 Christian books and ministered to presidents and prime ministers as well.

Indeed, Dr. Morris fought the good fight of faith. He left earth with such a great legacy.

Let’s keep the Cerullo family in our prayers during this difficult time. Especially his wife of 68 years, Theresa, and his children, David Cerullo and Susan Peterson, and their grandchildren.
