Nick Vujicic Asks The Same Question With James In “The Chosen” Scene With Jesus

Famous Christian evangelist and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic shared the same sentiments with James from “The Chosen.”

James’ scene with Jesus received a lot of reactions as they discussed God’s will over handicapped people. It inspired millions and touched the disabled community, including Nick, born with no arms and legs.

“It moved, moved, moved me,” Nick told Dallas Jenkins, director of The Chosen. “I would probably have had a very similar conversation with Jesus if I was him (Little James).”

The conversation with James and Jesus talked about how God uses people despite their disabilities and limits. And it rings true to many.

“I think this is going to speak to everybody because there are people who are convinced that their disability of anxiety will never go away,” he added.

Growing up, Nick did not have it easy. Being born differently attracted negative attention and led him to depression. But God had wonderful plans set out for Nick. And it was more than receiving his desire for arms and legs.

“I realized, more than my arms and legs, my disability is my broken, lost soul.”

Nick now knows his purpose and how his condition can glorify God more than a complete body. “God, yes, use me. Change my circumstance and if You don’t change my circumstance, use my circumstance for what? For the sake of the glory, which is what? So that one more would know that if God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then God can use any willing heart.”

The true miracle

Dallas explains that sometimes, we expect physical miracles to be “God’s story.” “But, just think of the story if you’re doing miracles,” Dallas shared, referring to Jesus’ message to James. “In spite of the fact that you have this handicap, imagine the story then – what you’re able to communicate and that you find joy in spite of your circumstance and that you believe in Me in spite of your circumstances and the story you have to tell.”

“Just because He gives you a physical miracle, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to be closest to Him. The miracle of miracles is abiding in Him and Him abiding in you,” Nick said.

Fast food crews in the Philippines surprised a customer with a disability dining alone after discovering through her Person’s with a Disability identification card that it was her birthday.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, a heartwarming scene between a customer and fast-food crews tugged into the hearts of millions. Apparently, a lady with a disability came to one of the most famous fast-food restaurants in the Philippines to have her meal. It happened at Jollibee Boulevard near Cebu Doctors University Hospital. According to the report, “she came in with a crutch and had poor eyesight.”

As the woman paid for her meal, she presented her Person with Disability Identification Card for the discount privilege. Cristine Sumayang Bustillo, the crew who assisted and took her order then saw that it was her birthday that day. So, the kind branch manager immediately thought of a plan to surprise the lady.

Emotional Moment

Soon, Cristine shared her surprise plan with her crew members. They prepared a chicken sandwich with a candle on the top and a balloon. Later on, they walked toward the woman with their surprise gifts while singing a “Happy Birthday.”

In the video posted by Cristine herself, the lady could be seen in tears as the crew’s kind gesture moved her. They then respectfully greeted her with a “Happy Birthday Ma’am,” and the woman blew her candle.

Following the lady’s tearful reaction, she thanked the crews for it was the “first time” someone had done it for her.

The video has reached almost two million views and continues to soar high in views. Many were moved as one user commented, “Small act of kindness but its a huge impact to humanity.”

Another wrote, “Just what the world needs… more kindness and love. Beautiful!”

Such a great display of Christ’s love. Thank You, Jesus!

Man With Disability Amazingly Plays Piano To Worship God

A man’s disability did not hinder him from praising God with his incredible talent as a pianist playing his beautiful rendition of ‘Is He Worthy!’

Talented Pianist With Disability

Bart Gee was born with a disability called Arthrogryposis. It meant that he has weak muscles and stiff joints. Doctors said he “would never walk and they didn’t even know if I would have the strength to sit up.” Moreover, they added that playing the piano was impossible for him because no-one knew if he would even have the strength to press a key down. But despite what the doctors told his family, they believed God for a miracle.

Then at five years old, Bart broke the limits. He started to play the piano and was gradually able to do more and more.

So today, he has managed to become an amazing pianist despite his condition. What’s more, he can play sports like table tennis, billiard, swimming, and has completed three triathlons. He can drive a car as well!

And in a video he shared in December, Bart did a piano cover of Chris Tomlin’s ‘Is He Worthy.’ It’s not the first time, though, because he records many worship covers on his YouTube channel.

Breaking Limits

The pianist with a disability is touching lives not just with his music but on regularly sharing his story with the world. He guests on Christian speaking engagements sharing how God turned his disability into a possibility.

In his ‘Is He Worthy’ cover, many were blessed and encouraged. A user attested how Bart’s music encouraged him amidst these trying times. Todd Turbett wrote, “Bart, In the crazy times we are experiencing your music helps soothe the mind, the body and the soul. Thank you.”

What an inspiration to all those who are feeling down and discouraged today. God is good!

Girl Born With No Arms Becomes An Army Cadet

Donavia Walker, a 16-year-old girl who was born with Bilateral Amelia – a rare condition that caused her to be born without arms – has become a star army cadet, in the US Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC).

Having a determined personality, Donavia can do practically everything she wants to.

According to her mother, Tisa Jones, Donavia’s condition was very scary at first and left her feeling extremely shocked.

“It was kind of scary. When Donavia was born I saw these different nurses and doctors just run in the room.” Tisa recalled “I took a glance over and I saw one of her arms was missing.” She added.

As a mother, it can be painful to see your newborn baby not fully developed. Imagine what kind of emotion she had to go through, seeing her little baby in that kind of position.

Growing up

Growing up, Donavia experienced bullying from other kids, but she didn’t let their words hinder her from doing what she had to do. She started to developed her own techniques to do simple tasks every day. She even learned how to drive using her feet; played football and joined the cheerleading squad.

“People would put me down because they didn’t think I could do as much as I can. They would tell me, ‘You can’t hold it, you have to use your hands to hold it’ or ‘You can’t get that, you gotta use your hands to get it. I was like, ‘I can get it with my feet. I will find a way,’” she said.

Cadet in the making

One of Donavia greatest accomplishments was to become a squad commander in the JROTC.

Sergeant Major Rudy Carter, Donavia’s instructor, said that he still remembers the first-day she walked through the door. “I had high hopes for her and she hasn’t disappointed,” he said.

And every time Sergeant Carter sees Donavia walk in the classroom, it reminds him of why he wakes up every morning – it reminds him that there is no limit of what he can do. “It’s people like Angel (Donavia) that make my job worth getting up for in the morning, make me want to get up and do the best that I can,” he said.

As for Donavia, she loves to inspire other people by the way she handles her circumstances. She loves to encourage people with a physical condition like her to love themselves more. Much like Pastor Jose Benitez of Mexico!
