Proverbs 31 Ministries
Lysa is a Christian author who founded Proverbs 31 Ministries, a non-profit organization that seeks to lead women into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. About two years ago, she filed for a divorce, ending her 29 years of marriage with her husband. It was due to the unfaithfulness of her husband and also his substance abuse.
She first announced their divorce in January after he engaged in “chosen patterns of behavior that dishonor God and the biblical covenant of marriage.” The bestseller author filed for divorce a month later. In an Instagram post, she wrote on Dec 13, she opens up about for the first time about her healing process. She also highlighted how she has seen God’s goodness through her journey.
“Two years of healing. Two years of focusing on my own health,” Lysa wrote as a caption of the photo of herself. “Two years of learning how to sit in the quiet with myself and be okay. Two years of believing God for goodness even when things felt not good at all. Two years of learning to go home to an empty house and counting the blessings that are still abundant.”

After years of heartbreaks, she finally revealed that she is getting better.
“Two years… and I’m good. Better than good. I’m honestly surprised by how far I’ve come and how honest my daughter is now. My life looks different but it is full and joyful and I’m more grateful than I’ve ever been.”
Though it was the hardest decision she has ever made, she said it was also the wisest decision she made.
