Hi there. I want to encourage you today with the Word of God. You know, we all have our times, our devotional times that we sit down with the Word, and this scripture that I want to share with you today is something that keeps coming back to me. We need to hear this scripture over and over again. I feel the Word of God is something, it’s almost like you read it once, and then you think you read it a second time or third time, and it’s like, it’s different, you heard it in a different way. And then God will help you with the Holy Spirit. Thank God for the Holy Spirit. Holy spirit, we thank you today. It illuminates our hearts and speaks to our hearts and to our minds.
I want to read the scripture that says, “Rejoice in the Lord, always.” You know, so that’s why this scripture is good to come back. It says, “Rejoice in the Lord, always,” not once a year, but always. “I will say it again, rejoice.” So God is repeating that, you know, say it again, “Rejoice, let your gentleness be evident to all, the Lord is near.” And then He says, “Do not be anxious about anything.” Now, if God puts that in the Word it’s because He says basically that, because we are able to not be anxious about anything, because it says not only it says do not be anxious about anything, but He doesn’t stop right there. He says, “But in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Okay. So you’re anxious about something. You’re worried about something. Maybe, you know, I don’t know. Maybe you’ve got a friend coming to see you. Haven’t seen her for a long time. It’s been difficult, there’s been a bit of friction. There’s been a bit of, I dunno, a difficult time with them and you want to invite her back, you know, but it says to not be anxious about anything. So praying about it, going to God, I’m petitioning, bringing it with thanksgiving. So thank you Father, that you help me to be friendly with his person, that I’ve had a difficult time with. Bring that petition to the Lord and thank Him. So thank you Father, that you will show up. Send your request to God. And then what happens after that? The peace of God which passes your understanding or your mind, “the peace of God, which transcends or passes all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
So once again, do not worry about anything, but bring your petition to the Lord and thank Him, because He’s a good God, and He is waiting to hear you speak to Him. He is waiting for you to ask Him for anything that you need. He’s waiting. He loves you. Thank you today for being part of this God TV family.
