A picture of a Starbucks barista has been circling on the internet for the incredible work she has done. No, she did not make the perfect cup of coffee, although she could make one. She also did not become the consistent employee of the month. But, what she did bring an impact on the people that surrounded her.
Starbucks Barista
Tanya Hinsley was with her son, who just received his driving permit. They decided on a drive-thru because “he wanted more practice with going through drive-thru,” she said.
So, they went to their local cafe and waited in line.
But, instead of getting bored, the mother and son were delighted. They saw how the barista named, Carrie Barlow, took time to pray for the driver in front of them.
Tanya told KSAZ-TV, “My son and I were having a discussion about how we loved that she stopped what she is doing and was bold in her faith and cared enough to pray with someone.”
The mother snapped Carrie’s kindness and posted it online “to brighten someone’s day.” She said, “Now, this is worth talking about y’all.”
The post got many reactions and shares, and people who were also touched by Carrie commented.
Living for Jesus
“I was overwhelmed by the end of the day when I seen [saw] how many times the post had been shared,” Tanya added. “And we loved reading the stories of all of the other people she [Carrie] has blessed just by being so kind, praying for others, and simply being a light for Jesus!”
Moreover, the mother was grateful that her teenage son got to see an amazing example in Carrie. It inspired them to live out their faith.
“This act of kindness and boldness in faith given out to others daily by people like Carrie, gives me hope and reminds myself and hopefully others that being kind and praying for someone doesn’t cost anything. We never know when something we say can help save someone…literally.”
