Gospel singer, Duranice Pace, brought American talk show host, Steve Harvey to tears during a visit to the ‘Steve’ show. She brought the house down with her song (see video) as well as giving Steve a word of encouragement.
An extraordinary testimony of healing
During her time on the ‘Steve’ Show, Duranice shared how God’s healed her vocal cords as a child. She told how half of her vocal cords had been removed after a rat poisoning incident in Rochester, New York
“I believe the Lord gave me a touch, they said I would never talk again, but the man upstairs said, ‘You gonna sing again’,” she said.
Later in her life, Duranice was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and told by her doctor she only had three years left to live. That was 11 years ago!
“I didn’t know if I was going to be alive, but God kept me alive to see you, sir,” she told Steve.
An encouraging word for Steve
As Duranice sang Steve was touched and said that he hoped that his late mother was watching. Steve’s mother who died in 1997 was a devout Christian.
“This is Steve Harvey, he’s a good man. He loves the Lord and he’ll give you a helping hand. God’s going to bless Steve Harvey,” Duranice said. “Keep on, keep on, you helped me to live, sir, keep on … you’re special.”
Steve replied, “You think I’m helping you, but you are really helping me. I thank you because this was for me.”
It’s amazing that someone who almost lost their vocal cords can sing so powerfully, “Persecuted, not forsaken… bruised in the battle, but not forsaken,” are some of the lyrics in Duranice’s song… “I am a vessel full of Holy Ghost power, I have a treasure from the Lord.”
As Steve concludes: “God really wants to help us, but He requires that we have a relationship with Him. If you’re out here trying to make it without God, you are making life harder than it needs to be. There is a higher power, there is a God. It’s time to get in touch with God”.

God is able to encounter His people in so many different ways. Trust Him to become a vessel of Holy Ghost power. Receive treasure from the Lord!
