Stacey Campbells explains how the weakness of God is the most powerful thing about who He is.
Pain is egocentric
When we experience pain, it is common for us to be self-centered and it’s hard for us to think about others. However, there is someone who still thinks about others despite experiencing pain – that is Jesus Christ.
“Pain is egocentric,” Stacey highlights. “When we have pain, when we have difficulties, it’s hard to think of others. But Jesus’ desire is always for somebody else. He desires that everybody would be with Him where He is, to behold His glory.”
Jesus Christ
Stacey goes on to explain how the weakness of God displayed on the cross is the most powerful part of who He is. It was His sacrifice that purchased freedom from the enemy. It was during His suffering that all our sins were paid off and all our infirmities were healed.
“That weakness of God, that suffering servant, that took upon himself the sins of the whole world, He did it in total weakness, in self-sacrifice. I think that’s the most powerful part of who God is,” she explained.
Weakness
As Christ selflessly gave His life for our redemption, we are also called to share the Gospel to others. We must not be held back by your pain and hardships, but let our faith in God stronger than anything else.
“He just doesn’t think as we think. It’s so important to look at His self-description of who He is because faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. And we move out of our little tiny worlds into the great Kingdom of God.”
