End Times Isn’t Doomsday: A Great Revival Is Coming! Why Don’t We Talk About It?

The True Key to the End Times

A great revival is coming, so why doesn’t anyone talk about it?

A friend had returned from a three-day conference on the end times. This “prophetic” conference was focusing on all of the Bible verses about the end. And there are many; more than two dozen. He was so excited and wanted to share with me. I asked a simple question: “What did they say about the great revival that is coming? You know, that time when God pours out His Spirit on all flesh, and whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” I was referring to Acts 2:17-21 or Joel 2:30-32. He told me that topic never came up. Three days on the signs of the end, and no mention of a worldwide revival, no mention of God pouring out His Spirit on all flesh! I was not surprised…..

Don’t misplace your focus

Looking on the internet for “signs of the end times” confirmed my thinking. When you hear about those signs, we talk about wars, and earthquakes, and famine, and increased sin, and on and on. In one article, titled 26 End Time Signs number 22 was; “The Gospel will be preached as a warning to all nations. Matthew 24:14.” That one is getting closer to what you and I can do, but it leaves out the promise of what God is going to do as a result! He will pour out His Spirit and initiate a worldwide revival. (I say “worldwide” because He says “all flesh.”) In another article, the author had 18 signs and number 18 was “Gospel Preached to World.” No mention of the coming move of God that initiates this worldwide move of His Spirit that results in a world changing end time event.

We should be more excited than ever

Like you, I can see all of the signs; but they don’t bring fear or trepidation or even sleeplessness. What I see is the precursor to what He has called us to do: to preach the Gospel, to introduce people to Jesus and invite the power of His Holy Spirit into our lives and the lives of those we interact with.

You see, the end times is not just a series of events that we have no control over; instead, it should be a motivating factor in getting involved with what God is preparing for these next years. Revival is coming! Bigger than we have seen; churches will be changed, your business will be changed, governments will be impacted; families and marriages and schools will never be the same.

Closing thoughts

If you are looking for signs of the end, you don’t have to look far. But if you want to do something about it: then now is the time. We all have a part to play because God has promised to touch all flesh. That means your circle of friends; not just your church going Christian friends; but your unbelieving neighbor, your backslidden relative; even your godless and irreverent co-worker.

A Christian end times author responded to a “rapture anxiety” article saying that “Bible prophecy” is meant to be comforting.

Rapture anxiety

Recently, a CNN article made a bold statement saying that some Christians are experiencing “rapture anxiety.” That news article sparked controversy and discussions among believers and non-believers. Jeff Kinley, the author of several books on rapture and end times responded to the controversial article.

“The first thing I thought was, ‘Really? You’re making up this whole idea of the fact that people all over the place are just so filled with anxiety about the rapture, which I’ve rarely encountered.’ That’s one thing,” Jeff said. “The flip side of it was the irony. The rapture is really designed to bring comfort, not anxiety. It’s the complete opposite.”

Comfort for Believers

In his response, he emphasized that rapture is meant to bring comfort to those who believe in Jesus Christ.

“I see how Bible prophecy and the rapture is meant to be the most comforting thing for a believer … it’s the bride of Christ,” he added. “And she gets to be rescued, so why should she be anxious about that?”

The issue of how the topic ignites anxiety might come from the fact that some preachers used the topic to ignite fear. They are teaching about the rapture “with poor motives or improper motives.” So, that doctrine should be taught correctly for it to become a comfort to those who hear it.

“The rapture has been used as a scare tactic … against people in the past to try to get them saved or that type of thing. So, I get that,” he said. “I also get the fact that sometimes in portrayals of the rapture, it is very sensational.”

Five Texas Cows Arrive in Israel—Cause Stir of Speculation about End Times

Last week, five specially bred heifers arrived at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport to quite a lot of fanfare. Normally, livestock coming to the Holy Land would not generate headlines or a welcoming committee, but these girls did—because they are rabbi-approved as totally “red” (every inch of these cows has been inspected, and every hair is red) and without blemish.

Why would this matter? In the book of Numbers (Num. 19:2), the sacrifice of a red heifer is required for someone to become ritually pure. For those who are waiting for the Third Temple to be built, the appearance of five potential candidates for sacrifice is an exciting development. This development has fueled speculation from the Orthodox Jewish community that we are in the “last days” or the Messianic era and that the Third Temple could be built (or come down from the sky, as some believe) very soon.

Let me be clear—while the Texas farmers who located and brought the cattle to Israel is a Christian organization, I strongly believe that as Christians, our focus and hope should be on the Fourth Temple, not the Third.

The New Testament is clear about two things—Yeshua’s death and resurrection put an end to the need for the sacrifice of bulls and goats once and for all…and the Third Temple will ultimately be where the Antichrist (“man of perdition” 2 Thess. 2:4) sets up his throne as an act of defiance against Almighty God.

So, what we have is Christian farmers helping to build a Temple that will eventually be defiled by the Antichrist! Is this a love for Israel? I am sure they think so, but again, this Antichrist will persecute Jews, as Pharaoh did in Egypt (Rev. 12:13). Or is this Christian seeking to speed up the coming of the Lord? I see nowhere in the New Testament that Christians should be involved in any way in rebuilding the Temple.

It will most likely be destroyed in the coming of the Lord, and a new Temple will be built based on Ezekiel 47. For more thoughts on this, please see the blog —“I am looking for the 4^th Temple.” When I wrote this blog, I had never heard anyone preach on the 4^th Temple. I received an email from Mike Bickle a few days later. At the time, I didn’t know Mike, though I highly respected him, and he said he was blown away because he was just teaching about the 4^th Temple. That is the Temple we should be longing for! Read Ezekiel 47—it is beautiful!

To be clear, a 3^rd Temple will be rebuilt, but we should not be a part of it.

The cows are about to finish their 10 days of quarantine. They still have another year to go before the rabbis know if they are eligible for sacrifice—the heifer must be two years old (and still all red and unblemished) before a sacrifice is possible.

My Prayer To Walk In God’s Joy In The End Times

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

Lord, I pray for a victorious prayer life. I ask that You would help me to walk in Your joy in the end times. When life is difficult, help me to see from Your point of view. You are the God of hope, and I can overflow with Your joy and hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Teach me to pray diligently and wholeheartedly with a good heart attitude. People around me are stressed and worried without hope about the future. Their hearts are troubled, but I choose to walk in Your peace and joy. Your joy is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10). You are returning soon to earth, and I rejoice in my Bridegroom King. I anticipate this joyful time and all the joys of Your eternal reign. I fix my eyes on You.

You have an answer for every problem, even when I don’t see it through my eyes. You know the beginning from the end. Lord, I choose to link with You and not let the world squeeze me into its mold. You know the way that I can walk through my circumstances victoriously. I choose to obey Philippians 4:4-5, ‘Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.’

Help me to re- joice in You always. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. It is not something that I can create myself. Your joy is supernatural, and remains deep and abiding even when I am in the midst of hardship. Help me learn to let Your Spirit fill me with Your unquenchable joy, regardless of what is happening around me. I want to let Your light shine from my life to a world looking desperately for hope. I want my life to be a testimony of Your light.

Psalm 16:11 says, ‘You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.’ There is joy in the secret place of prayer and in Your presence even in times of darkness. There is joy as I choose to center my life on You. I choose to make You my highest ambition, my deepest desire, and my greatest goal. Give me Your spirit of joy as I walk through the turbulence of the end times with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

He prayed that you would have the same joy that the Father had given Him: a divine joy, a joy that comes from a deep and unwavering relationship with the Father. So What?

This morning (and it doesn’t really matter what morning this morning is), the news is filled with chaos and destruction. Everywhere we go and in everything we read, we hear from people stating without equivocation that we are in the “End Times.” “Don’t look now! Here comes ‘the Tribulation!’” Now, I am not saying that everyone is wrong because looking around us, we do see wars and rumors of wars, nations rising against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms, famines and earthquakes in various places. One would have to be blind not to see these things and not equate them with the warnings we find in the Bible about the End Times.

Around the world right now, we see so many crises taking place, the pandemic, wars and threats of wars, volcanoes erupting, earthquakes shaking, floods and fires destroying cities, a new hurricane seemingly arising out of the ocean each morning, political corruption and protests in many countries, and a major rise in violent acts.

With all of these things in mind, I have one question burning inside of me: “So what?” Yes, I said, “So what?” Every one of these events that are driving the hearts of believers to fear, trepidation, despair, and anxiety have been around since the very beginning of time. Cain murdered Abel; Noah survived the flood; Sodom and Gemorah were destroyed by fire from heaven; Israel spent 400 years in captivity in Egypt; The Philistines, Rehoboam, and Jeroboam divided the kingdom; The Assyrian captivity, the Babylonian captivity, the destruction of the Temple; The Roman occupation; The second destruction of the Temple; History is filled with natural disasters, plagues, wars, political corruption, and violent acts of all kinds.

When asked about these signs of the times by His disciples, Yeshua responded in Matthew 24:4-12:

“Yeshua answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray! 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must happen but it is not yet the end. 7 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 But all these things are only the beginning of birth pains. 9 “Then they will hand you over to persecution and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of My name. 10 And then many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

The Body of Messiah seems to be in this stage right now wrestling with false prophets, watching nations, seeing lawlessness multiply, and if the surveys we see posted on news sites is true, the love for G-D and His ways is waxing cold. But, Yeshua’s statement to His disciples doesn’t end with verse 12; it continues with some of the most powerful words of encouragement in the Bible. The next words we read are:

13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Yeshua is telling His disciples, and us today, that yes, things will get bad. We will have wars, famine, pestilence, natural disasters, political upheaval, and a falling away of believers. But, if we endure, we will be saved. Yet, that isn’t the end of Yeshua’s statement; He goes on the say in verse 14:

14 This Good News of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Yeshua has been shouting out to us for thousands of years. Don’t be distracted by false prophets and false prophecies! Don’t become fearful of the things that you see and lose heart and faith! Yes, these things are happening, but so what?! Similar events have been happening since the Fall in the Garden. Be careful and see that you are not alarmed because the Good News shall be proclaimed in the whole world, and he that endures to the end will be saved.

A Visitation Of God’s Glory

I believe more than ever that the Church of Jesus Christ is about to be visited with a manifestation of God’s Glory not seen in many years. The scriptures declare that in the end times that the awareness of God’s glory would cover the entire earth as the waters cover the sea.

“For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD.” – Habakkuk 2:14 New Living Translation

This is very interesting because science tells us that 72 percent of Earth is covered in water. This means that the heart of God is that 72 percent of the Earth experience the manifest glory of God. This is the desire of God that the nations would have experiential knowledge of His glory. This coming glory I believe will be marked by the fear of the Lord and the Love of God. This glory that is about to visit the church will cause an explosion of the miracles, signs and wonders across the earth. This glory be so evident that it will be healings without anyone laying hands. Supernatural provision and much more will mark this tangible glory. There will be gold dust, Angel Feathers, and miracle finances that will follow to an army of glory carriers. Many would ask what is the glory?

God’s Glory

The glory has several meanings one being the manifest presence of God. The glory can also be defined as the visible presence of God. If you went to heaven right now you would be in God’s glory. The glory is mans original habitation. Since the beginning of creation we were created for God’s glory. Adam was the first to carry this Glory. But most the glory as a result of his sin. Sin still separates man from the Glory. That’s why this glory that is coming I believe will be marked by a revival of holiness and purity. Why? Because the deeper we go in the place of God’s Presence. The more we must walk in purity and holiness. Many would say but look at the nation and the increase of sin.

The Scripture prophesies that in the end time that sin and darkness would increase but that the Glory would also increase.

“For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:2 English Standard Version

The Church Will Arise

I believe we are in for times of great turbulence. There is a lot going on in our nation. But I believe that the church the true church will arise and shine. The remnant church around the nation and the world will demonstrate the power and glory of God. We will manifest the greater glory that the scriptures have promised. How to we began to access this glory is another question many would ask next?

The answer is simple intimacy with the Holy Spirit. The church will access this greater glory as we go deep in the place of intimacy with the Lord. As we go deep in this place of communion with the Spirit we will see a church arise and to great exploits. As the church returns to this place of first love. We will see a people that carry the presence to such a degree that when they walk into buildings atmospheres shift. That demons manifest as they speak. I believe a generation that carries the presence like Kathryn Kuhlman is about to come forth.

So In Love

The church will be so in love with the presence of Holy Spirit that millions will be saved because of their surrendered lives. I write this article to encourage the church that yes there is great darkness all around us. But be encouraged God is on the throne and at work. He is prepare His church for days of great Glory that have not been since in decades. Are you ready?

The Bridal Paradigm: The Bride In Union With The Bridegroom

One of the greatest revelations I received over the years was the revelation that I am married to Christ. A year ago I had this powerful encounter in the presence of God that marked me forever. That brought me into a revelation of Jesus as the bridegroom and the church as the bride. We know this of course theologically, but I believe this revelation must go down deep in our spirits in this hour. The Lord is preparing His bride in these last days in white garments of intimacy and pure devotion to Jesus. Scripture teaches us that Jesus is coming back soon for a madly in love church that has made herself ready.

Revelation 19:7 NKJV says, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

The Remnant Bride

This bridal remnant formed in the fire of His presence has been marked by the reality of love for Jesus. They no longer see anything but Him. They have tried everything else but know He is everything they need and desire. This is where the Lord has brought me in my personal walk with him. I believe this revelation is coming back to the church in the coming years in a real way. The Lord is awakening the bride to a deep love and union with Him. It will cause us to see revival in our ministries, regions, and churches. This bride will be marked by the fear of the Lord like never before and a love for Jesus and time in his presence.

We find this revelation of God wanting to marry a people throughout the Old and New Testament. Israel was married to God as well.

Isaiah 54:5 ESV

For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

Hosea 2:19 ESV

And I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.

This is why God continually dealt with Israel as He did. They were His beloved bride that at times broke His heart. So He lovingly corrected and disciplined them. We as the church have now been brought into the same type of marriage with Jesus as Israel was in the Old Testament. This is our primary identity as the body and it’s very important that this revelation is restored to the church in a real way.

John 3:29 ESV

The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

This revelation deeply transforms us into the very image of Christ. To understand that Jesus is our husband, which means just as in a real marriage or relationship. The Bible says that the two become one. We have become one with Him the Lord in spirit. This means we have to daily approach our relationship with Him differently. He desires as in a real marriage all of our love and affection. He desires a deep intimate relationship with His church. One in which we are led by His Glory and presence. I believe the true bride is arising that will be marked by miracles, signs, and wonders because they have seen their master as he is in beauty and splendor. They will be marked by the tangible anointing of the spirit.

This entire narrative culminates in the church and Jesus eternally joining one to another. The book of Revelation is not the revelation of the end times but a revelation of Jesus and the bride. We see this throughout the book, which culminates with these beautiful last words.

Revelation 22:17 ESV

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

This is a picture of the end-time church that is so beautiful. In this verse we see a unified church clothed in a revelation of their identity in Christ. We see a church that is in love with Jesus and is in a posture with the spirit of prayer. The end-time church is first and foremost a praying church. She will usher in the harvest through her tears in the prayer room.

The church in the last days will be a house of prayer. A house where the manifest presence of Jesus lives and abides. A married people madly in love with the bridegroom. They are willing to sacrifice all for Him. This is where I feel God is bringing His church. I pray that this revelation marks you. That you are the Lord’s and He loves you with a love you could never dream or imagine. He wants to be intimate with you and for you to walk with Him in a greater measure of His presence today.

Is It Wrong To Publicly Judge The Prophets For Erroneously Predicting A Trump Re-Election?

Over the past few weeks, some leaders have been criticized on social media for having the nerve to hold prophetic voices accountable for falsely predicting COVID would suddenly lift around Passover 2020 and for insisting that Trump would win re-election. (Some are still insisting on this even though President Biden has been inaugurated.) Instead of apologizing, some prophetic leaders have tried to get off the hook by making the following statements:

“Trump really won, but the election was stolen!”

“Trump was inaugurated in heaven!”

“There are still four more years left, anything can happen, so I am not apologizing now.”

“Trump will be set in around March or April after massive voter fraud is exposed.”

“The prophets said Trump would be elected a second term, but they never said it would be two consecutive terms. He will be president in 2024!”

You get the picture.

In my opinion, these kinds of excuses make things worse. It would have been much better for these prophetic voices to simply admit they missed it instead of digging in their heels and trying to convince people that they were right.

Furthermore, some people are saying that it is unfair that the prophets are being picked on and that the other ministry gifts should be scrutinized. One man told me, on social media, that I was maligning the prophets and should have corrected them in private. My friend, Dr. Michael Brown, informed me that he is getting a lot of hate mail for calling for prophetic accountability. Jeremiah Johnson reportedly received so much vitriolic pushback that his website crashed after apologizing for falsely prophesying a Trump presidential victory.

So again, I ask the question, “Is it wrong to hold prophetic voices accountable?”

First of all, it is always within the bounds of protocol to bring public correction to any person who teaches, prophesies, or preaches something misleading to the people of God, especially if it was done on a public platform.

If a person says something incorrectly in public, they should be willing to be corrected in public. If they do not want to be corrected in public, they should not release anything on a public platform.

As a shepherd and a voice to those on my public platforms, I feel obligated to bring correction to false teachings, prophecies, or anything else that I deem harmful to the people of God and the general public. When people disagree with me regarding an article or link I release, I don’t get bent out of shape. Instead, I either thank them if they bring out a good point, or I engage in dialogue with them if I don’t agree with their point of view. If they act like a fool, calling me names or getting nasty, I merely block them from further engagement. Paul instructs us to publicly call out spiritual leaders, under certain situations, when at least three credible witnesses have verified their wrong (1 Timothy 5:20).

Secondly, if I do not know them or have a relationship with them, it would be difficult to speak to them privately before bringing a public correction. (Based on my busy schedule, there were so many who were prophetically off that it would have been nearly impossible to engage in a conversation with all of them.) It should be noted that the mandate by Jesus to privately speak to somebody is only in effect if they sinned against that individual person (Matthew 18:15-18).

Regarding the subject of this article, these false predictions did not involve the committing of a personal sin against me. Rather, a wrong was committed against the tens of thousands of Christians who believed these prophets who gave them false hope. Whether some prophets misled them intentionally, I cannot say or judge. I think most were sincere, but were blinded by their hope for a Trump election.

Thirdly, Paul instructed church leaders to mark those who cause divisions in the Church so that others will learn from it (Romans 16:17). He also called out leaders in public when he deemed their words or actions harmful to the church (1 Timothy 1:20, 2 Timothy 4:14). He called out some who forsook him and left their assignment (2 Timothy 4:9-11). Even though I do not believe many of these prophets intended to sow discord, the charismatic church’s ensuing confusion had to be addressed on a public platform. (Leaders like myself have no way of tracking down and personally connecting with the multiple thousands of confused Christians disillusioned by this prophetic faux pas.)

Fourthly, perhaps more than any other ministry gift, God commands the prophetic to be judged according to the Scriptures. A few of the passages relevant to this point include the following:

Deuteronomy 13:1-5; Jeremiah 23; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21; 1 John 4:1.

Fifthly, everybody who teaches, preaches, or prophesies are to be judged more strictly than those who do not endeavor to be an oracle for the truth (James 3:1). Thus, those who bring forth the word of God have to be very careful to accurately represent the mind and will of God based upon the Scriptures and their exposition of it. (1 Peter 4:11)

Sixthly, regarding the charge that the prophets are being picked on more than the other ministry gifts, the truth is that for the past decade, the apostolic has been scrutinized more than any other APEST gifts. (APEST is an acronym for the fivefold ministry gifts in Ephesians 4:1.)

Many have even said that there is some kind of vast global conspiracy to take over and influence the Church with self-proclaimed apostles who belong to the so-called NAR (New Apostolic

Reformation). Of course, there is no such organization nor NAR conspiracy since the apostolic movement is global and cannot be contained, categorized, or defined by one entity or movement.

However, instead of complaining that apostolic leadership is being picked on, I have engaged in fruitful, robust dialogue with some scholars who have written books against the NAR. We agree on the need to reign in some of the excesses and abuses found in the contemporary apostolic movement. These are things I have already written about in my book, Essays in Apostolic Leadership.

Furthermore, Jesus praised the Ephesian church for “testing those who say they are apostles but are not” (Revelation 2:2). Jesus desires that local churches test their ministry gifts before they validate and recommend their ministry to the Body of Christ.

Finally, the Bible scrutinizes each of the fivefold ministries, not just the prophetic. But the very nature of the prophetic demands strict judgment since the one prophesying is claiming the Lord is speaking through them, instead of a teacher who is merely an expositor of already revealed (logos) truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

In conclusion, the Bible says that any of the APEST ministry gifts can fall into deception. Even sincere godly Christians, including prophetic leaders, can make mistakes and unintentionally mislead masses of people through social media platforms. Consequently, it behooves the Church to collectively respond online to counter false teachings, judge prophetic words, and bring greater balance to the Church for the glory of God.

When bringing correction, may we treat each other with grace, kindness, and mercy as we await the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
