“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.” (Psalm 75:6)
Expansion comes from God. Promotion comes from Him. Enlargement comes from Him. God will promote you in His timing. Wait for His timing. His timing is perfect. Before God enlarges you, He prepares you. You’re being prepared.
According to Ecclesiastes 3:1-3, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;” There is a season of preparation and a season of promotion. God has a season and a timing for everything. Your preparation has purpose. Your preparation is not purposeless. Preparation matures you. Preparation shapes you. Preparation molds you into who God has called you to be. Your preparation is from God.
When God Promotes.
When God promotes — His results are sustainable. When God breathes on your hands, you will get His results. When His Hand is on your life — nothing can withstand the Blessing of God. No one can block God’s Hand from moving on your behalf. When God promotes you — He redirects the hearts of kings to flow in your favor. He is the King of all kings and He controls the outcome.
God knows the beginning from the ending so put your faith and trust in God. His favor is boundless. His access is endless. There is no limit in Him. Man’s authority has limits. Man’s access has boundaries. You can look to the east and to the west and find that there is no one like God. Your next promotion is not coming from your horizontal relationships — this next promotion is coming from Him.
God Builds Up And He Tears Down.
God builds and tears down. God builds up kingdoms and tears them down. God raises up kings and sets them as He pleases. When God gives you authority to rule, He teaches you how to govern. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Proverbs 29:2)
Maybe, God was preparing you to rule righteously. Maybe, God was shaping your character in the back of the desert. Maybe, God had you in mind. Your preparation was just your pruning season. When God promotes — it is sustainable. “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22)
Keep Your Character Clean.
“He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” (Psalm 24:4)
Before God enlarges your borders, He examines your heart. Promotion comes from God but diligence is up to you. The consistency and quality of your character is under your stewardship. The development and maturity of your character is in your hands.
Before God enlarges you, He strengthens you. Your promotion will not break you. Promotion was meant to propel you. The testing of your character, in private, was meant to strengthen you behind the scenes in order to prepare you for your public platform. Many collapse under the weight and pressure of self promotion and self exaltation. But when God promotes, His promotion is sustainable.
Keep your hands clean and your heart pure. Focus on His Word and He’ll lead the way. Focus on Him and you will not shipwreck. Follow His instruction and you will not fail. Faulty character sinks ships and pride is the precursor to failure.
Pride Destroys Destiny.
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)
Pride ruins careers. Pride is the destroyer of destiny. Pride will deter you from seeking everything that God has for you. Choose to trust God’s Word and let Him lead your pathway. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
When you choose to rely on God’s Power and Authority, your selfish behavior breaks. When you surrender your plans to God and align with Him, He’ll crush every obstacle that stands in your way. “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 AMPC. Trust His Process. Trust His Plan and you will succeed. Try it again. This time do it like He says.
