Thousands of Christians gathered in Kansas City last May 9-13 for The Send 2022. As a result, many have responded to the call of action to live out Jesus’ commission: “Going into the world and preaching the Gospel.”
Evangelists and Missionaries
The Send is birthed from the prayers of Christian leaders who felt God’s move of “activating believers to evangelism and mobilizing missionaries all over the world.” These national leaders are committed to doing what it takes to fulfill God’s commission and to see America’s faith in God burn once again.
Therefore, on February 23, 2019, they held the first “The Send” gathering. Sixty thousand joined the powerful event, and since then, they have waged war on inaction and passivity.
The Send 2022
And this year, they held their missional revival meeting at the Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City. The service is not limited only to those in the city because they streamed it online, expanding their audience worldwide.
Prominent Christian worship leaders took turns in leading the congregation to worship. They are Jay Thomas, Rick Pino, Kari Jobe, Melissa and Jonathan Helser, IHOPKC Worship, etc.
Moreover, anointed speakers also participated in the momentous gathering. It includes David Bryant, Sammy Rodriguez, Mike Bickle, Todd White, Lou Engle, Heidi Baker, and others.
But, the speakers nor the worship leaders are not the faces of The Send. But, the attendees who committed themselves to going for the Gospel of Jesus.
They call every attendee to take one mission field and respond to it. The mission fields listed are High Schools, Universities, Communities, Vulnerable Children, and Nations. From May 16-21, The Send will host a “Take Action Interest Night” to talk about each mission field.
Once the participant has chosen, they are then guided with a follow-up process to encourage them as they take their first steps.
Today, 1,000 believers have committed to a missional life in High School. They believe that 1,000 more will take action for the Universities tomorrow.
